Associations and unions in area 14, Binh Thuy ward signed a competition agreement at the National Great Unity Day.

At the festival, 20 disadvantaged households in the area and 18 students who overcame difficulties to study well and pass university entrance exams received gifts and scholarships from the area and local funds. This is one of the social security activities, taking care of people's lives that the area has maintained well for many years.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Head of the Front Work Committee of Region 14, said: “In 2025 alone, the region mobilized philanthropists to donate 5,000 kg of rice and 250 gifts to policy families and disadvantaged households during holidays and Tet; mobilized support for difficult circumstances with illnesses with a total value of 75 million VND; supported 28 people who could not participate in health insurance with a total amount of over 35.3 million VND. On the other hand, the region coordinated with the Social Policy Bank to support disadvantaged households and students to borrow capital; introduced 173 people to work in local trading and cooking service establishments... Thereby, contributing to helping people stabilize their lives and improve their income. Currently, the region has no poor households, only 20 near-poor households.”

In addition, the Youth Union, Women's Union, Red Cross, Veterans' Association... all have typical models and tasks, contributing to the construction of the homeland such as: "5 no 3 clean", "Cooking porridge for 0 dong", organizing Mid-Autumn Festival for children, supporting people affected by storms and floods, supporting the people of Cuba...

Above all, the consensus and solidarity of the branches, organizations and people in implementing the 9 criteria and 52 contents of building a civilized urban ward. A series of meaningful works and activities have been deployed and maintained regularly such as: jointly building a bright, green, clean and beautiful area; general environmental sanitation, clearing the flow of canals, sorting garbage; not encroaching on sidewalks and roadsides... Specifically, the area has upgraded alley 366 and renovated the flagpole with a total cost of over 120 million VND. The models have received positive response from the people, people have contributed more than 300 working days (sweeping and collecting garbage); installed public lighting bulbs and many security cameras; Dang Thi Nhuong street has been repaired and renovated, becoming a highlight of the urban landscape...

The movements: "All people protect national security", "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" were promoted with the active participation of all people. Thereby, the area was recognized as a typical cultural area, a civilized urban area, a safe area in terms of security and order. The cultural and spiritual life of the people is increasingly developed through the activities of the Cultural Family Club, the Folk Dance - Sports Club, the 6 No Club, the 5 Yes 3 Clean Club, the Intergenerational Self-Help Club, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Cao Xiem, retired army colonel, former Secretary of the regional Party Cell, shared: “As a long-time resident of the area, I clearly feel the changes in my hometown every day. The muddy alleys of the past have now been paved with concrete, the makeshift roofs have gradually been replaced by solid houses, the area with many poor households now has no poor households... The meetings are now harmonious, joyful, and full of affection. That is the result of the close attention of the Party, the government and the Front, the efforts of each cadre in the area and above all the consensus and solidarity of all the people to build our homeland to develop more and more. Entering the new phase, we, the people of area 14, will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, actively respond to local movements and campaigns; participate in building a model residential area, cultural life, and affection; contribute with the Party Committee and people of Binh Thuy ward to successfully implement the tasks. The goal of socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security, building an increasingly civilized, modern, and sustainably developed ward.
