Members of the working group visited the fields and worked with the people of Cam Tu commune.
According to statistics from the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in the spring of 2026, the entire province planted 187,630.8 hectares of rice. Due to proactive measures in production, the arrangement of appropriate varieties and planting seasons, proactive plant protection, and the increasingly advanced intensive farming techniques of the people, the rice crop grew and developed stably this spring. To date, the spring rice crop in the province has basically finished flowering, and some early spring rice fields have begun harvesting.

Visiting rice fields and assessing rice yields in Tay Do commune.
Inspection revealed that this year's spring crop is a bumper harvest, yielding relatively high productivity. Although the province recently experienced thunderstorms and hailstorms that caused damage to agricultural production, including some areas of spring rice crops that were in the ripening stage being broken and flattened, local authorities quickly directed farmers to mitigate the damage. It is estimated that this year's spring rice crop will yield a high output, with an average yield of approximately 67 quintals/hectare.

For the spring crop of 2026, the average rice yield for the entire province is expected to reach 67 quintals/hectare.
During the meeting, the Department of Agriculture and Environment requested that localities urgently implement measures to remedy and minimize damage to rice fields affected by storms and strong winds.

The agricultural sector requires localities to harvest rice according to the principle of "harvesting as soon as the rice ripens" in order to minimize yield losses.
At the same time, taking advantage of the sunny weather, arrange harvesting machines in the fields, harvesting according to the principle of "harvesting as soon as the rice ripens," prioritizing low-lying areas and areas where the rice has fallen over to minimize yield loss; organize land preparation as soon as harvesting is completed, ensuring readiness for the Autumn-Winter crop production within the best timeframe.
