After the National Assembly held the closing session of the 5th session on the afternoon of June 24, the Secretary General of the National Assembly chaired a press conference to announce the results of the 6th session of the 5th National Assembly.
Information to the press, Director of the Information Department (Office of the National Assembly) Hoang Thi Lan Nhung said that after 23 working days (the first session from May 1 to June 22; the second phase from June 5 to June 10), with the spirit of innovation, solidarity, democracy, intelligence, urgency and high responsibility, the 6th session, the 2th National Assembly completed the entire program.
At the session, the National Assembly passed 8 laws and 17 resolutions, gave opinions for the second time on 2 law project, gave opinions for the first time on 1 other bills; thematic supreme supervision "The mobilization, management and use of resources for the prevention and control of the Covid-8 epidemic; the implementation of policies and laws on grassroots health and preventive medicine”; conduct questioning and answer questions; consider and decide on personnel, socio-economic and state budget issues; review voter petition reports and address voter petitions among other important matters.
The National Assembly has considered and decided on the dismissal of Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong from the position of member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly, and the dismissal of Mr. approved the proposal to dismiss Mr. Tran Hong Ha from the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment for the term 2021-2026; elect a member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee of the 2021th National Assembly for Mr. Le Quang Manh; approved the proposal to appoint the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment for the term 2026-XNUMX for Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh; approved the proposal for appointment of Judges of the Supreme People's Court.

In addition, the National Assembly also considered and approved a Resolution on the allocation of the Socio-Economic Development and Recovery Program; supplement and adjust the medium-term investment plan of central budget capital for the 2021-2025 period and allocate the central budget investment plan in 2023 of the National Target Program.
This is an important resolution in implementing tasks and projects using public investment capital and capital of the Socio-economic Recovery and Development Program.
In addition, the National Assembly has passed a Resolution approving the final settlement of the state budget in 2021. In which, the total balance of state budget revenue is 2.387.906 billion VND; total state budget balance expenditure is 2.484.439 billion VND; State budget deficit is 214.053 billion VND, equal to 2,52% of gross domestic product (GDP).

At this session, the National Assembly has decided on many orientations, tasks and key solutions for the Government, all levels and sectors to continue drastically implementing in order to complete the set goals, targets, tasks and solutions; at the same time, request the Government and agencies to implement and have specific, appropriate and feasible solutions to solve the shortcomings and limitations in order to achieve the highest goals and targets according to the resolutions of the National Assembly.
During the 2,5-day period, the National Assembly questioned 3 ministers and the minister and chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs in the fields of: Labor, war invalids and society, science and technology, transportation, and ethnicity. The issues selected by the National Assembly are necessary, meeting the practical needs and desires of the people and voters.
The question-and-answer session took place in a serious, democratic, responsible, and highly constructive manner. The National Assembly deputies raised questions, showed a high sense of responsibility, and closely reflected the actual developments, lives and aspirations of voters and the people with concise, specific, clear, and less duplicate content, with dialogue, frank and constructive debate, using maximum time to question and clarify issues of concern to voters and the people.
The Ministers of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Science and Technology, Transport and the Minister and Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs all showed their bravery, grasped the reality of the industry and field they were in charge of, straightforward, not roundabout, avoiding many difficult and complicated issues.
