National historical milestones through 15 paintings 'Proud of a stretch of mountains and rivers'

Responding to the campaign "Proud of a stretch of mountains and rivers" launched by the Youth Union Central Committee, in recent times, Youth Union ministries at all levels throughout Nghe An province have had many meaningful and creative activities, models, and ways of doing things. to spread patriotism and national pride among youth union members. Up to this point, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union is at the top of the campaign "Proud of a stretch of mountains and rivers". The whole province has: 11.362 maps; 10.458 maps have been hung and given away; 8.563 classrooms have posted maps; 1.678 schools and coalitions responded; 1.165 grassroots unions and grassroots union branches responded; 12.695 youth union members participated in forming the map.

Implementing this campaign, Youth Union levels throughout Nghe An province have had many activities and diverse implementation forms. Among them are vivid paintings of the map of Vietnam and a set of 15 paintings of important historical milestones, recreating the historical journey of the Vietnamese people. It is known that these paintings were made by a group of three teachers including: Ms. Le Tra Giang - Art Teacher of Hung Binh Secondary School; Ms. Dinh Thi Nhan - Art Teacher of Vinh University Pedagogical High School and Ms. Nguyen Thi Van - Art Teacher of Nghi Duc Primary School.

Ms. Dinh Thi Nhan (one of three girls who made 15 paintings) said that from the idea to completion, the three girls had to draw within 3 months. Because they were drawing historical milestones, the three girls had to ask for the support of teacher Nguyen Thi Kim Lien (Ha Huy Tap Secondary School) for advice. “Drawing historical subjects is much more difficult than painting other art paintings. We asked Ms. Lien to advise on historical milestones, then selected the 1,5 most important milestones. Then from those historical milestones, they sketched them into the picture. Drawing is also difficult because the painting must recreate the historical and soulful atmosphere to be successful," Ms. Nhan said, adding that there are paintings that all three of her painted together and had to draw. Continuously for many days to complete.

The first picture drawn by the teachers was about "Dragon and Fairy Race". The painting represents the origin of the formation of the Vietnamese people.

The second painting recreates the Hai Ba Trung Uprising that opened the struggle against the Northern feudal forces. The image of the Trung Sisters riding elephants into battle, chasing away enemies, has become a beautiful symbol of the patriotism, heroic spirit, and steadfastness of Vietnamese women.

The third painting shows the battle on the Bach Dang River in 3 by Ngo Quyen. Victory in this battle ended more than 938 years of Northern feudal domination, opened a period of true and lasting independence for our nation, and left a profound lesson about military art for life. after.

The fourth painting depicts the event in 4 when Ly Cong Uan moved the capital to Dai La and changed its name to Thang Long.

The 8th painting recreates the scene of young man Nguyen Tat Thanh leaving Nha Rong port to find a way to save his country in 1911.

The painting recreates the Conference to establish the Communist Party of Vietnam (1930). The conference marked the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam - the pioneering revolutionary organization that led the Vietnamese revolution to victory.

The painting recreates the day Uncle Ho read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945.

The 11th painting recreates the Dien Bien Phu victory in 1954. The victory contributed to deciding the end of the long and heroic resistance war against the French colonialists of our army and people, a miracle of the army. our team, one of the brilliant milestones in the history of the Vietnamese people's struggle to defend the country.

The painting depicts the historic moment when the tank of the Southern Liberation Army rammed the gate of the Independence Palace in 1975, marking the victory of the 1975 Spring Campaign.
