"Boost" for the tourism market
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Deputy Director of Hai Van Cat International Travel Company, China used to be one of the main international tourist sources of Da Nang. The news that China Southern Airlines plans to operate a charter flight from Shenzhen (China) to Da Nang is a positive sign.

“Da Nang has advantages in terms of tourism products, stimulus policies, etc., so we expect to restore this tourist market in the near future. This is also the company's main market, so when we received this information, we were very happy and proactively planned, ready to welcome guests,” said Mr. Thien.
Chairman of the City Tourism Association Cao Tri Dung acknowledged that Da Nang is witnessing a spectacular growth in the number of visitors in 2025. This result is the result of outstanding efforts by state agencies and the business community; including focusing on attracting, promoting, and offering incentives for direct flights to Da Nang.
This year, the city recorded new routes from the Middle East (especially from Dubai), connecting Da Nang with many destinations in Europe and the US; additional routes from Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan (China), South Korea; new routes from Myanmar, CIS. Most recently, China Southern Airlines announced a return flight route from Shenzhen (China) to Da Nang.
“This is a very optimistic signal for Da Nang to attract Chinese tourists again. This flight route will become a “lever” for us to deeply attract the Chinese market, developing this market with high-quality products as we have exploited before,” Mr. Dung shared.
According to Mr. Dung, unlike previous years, the 2025 tourism stimulus program is divided into 3 phases to deeply stimulate demand in many markets, not only in the low season but all year round. This not only helps diversify products but also improves service quality and has attractive price packages for tourists.
