| The Thuận Hóa Ward Police launched a high-intensity campaign to attack and suppress crime, ensuring security and order during the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026. |
In the final months of the year, as crowds fill the streets and people's travel and shopping needs increase, the security situation also becomes more complex. The large area, dense population, and numerous businesses operating in close proximity place increasingly high demands on local police forces to proactively monitor the situation and promptly prevent and stop illegal activities right in their assigned areas.
Based on that experience, the Thuan Hoa Ward Police have persistently monitored the area, effectively managed suspects, and proactively implemented a comprehensive range of operational measures. A noticeable feature during the peak months at the end of the year is the consistent maintenance of patrol teams covering the entire area from 10 PM to 4 AM the following morning.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Ha, Head of Thuan Hoa Ward Police, shared: “As the year draws to a close, the work pressure increases. We always determine that we must be proactive from early on and from afar, avoiding being caught off guard. Each night patrol shift is not only a duty but also a responsibility to maintain peace and security for the people.”
Through patrol work, many incidents have been detected and handled promptly. For example, in early November 2025, during a night patrol on Dang Huy Tru Street, after hearing residents shouting about a theft, the Thuan Hoa Ward Police patrol team quickly arrived and, in coordination with the public, apprehended the perpetrator, Chau Van Diep (born in 1988, residing in An Cuu Ward), and recovered the stolen goods.
In addition to relying on professional methods, the Thuan Hoa Ward Police also focuses on building close and trusting relationships with the people. The unit has installed five crime reporting mailboxes in key residential areas and streets. At the same time, they have publicly displayed the hotline numbers of police at all levels, creating conditions for people to promptly report information and provide clues related to security and order, working together to maintain peace in the residential area.
“The police in Thuan Hoa ward regularly patrol, especially at night. When residents report incidents, the police receive and handle them very quickly, so people feel safe,” shared Mr. NHT, a resident of the ward.
Through persistent and practical efforts, the crime rate in the ward has decreased by 23.68% compared to 2024; preventing the formation of dangerous criminal gangs that cause public concern. During the year, the unit directly handled and resolved 75 crime reports and denunciations, achieving a success rate of 93.3%; the prosecution and investigation work was carried out seriously and in accordance with regulations, involving 44 cases/49 defendants.
Along with ensuring security and order, drug prevention, control, and management continue to be identified as a key, long-term task. The Thuan Hoa Ward Police have advised the Ward Party Committee to issue a specialized resolution, outlining a specific roadmap towards the goal of building a "drug-free Thuan Hoa Ward." During the year, the unit detected and handled 15 cases involving 27 individuals committing drug-related offenses; and compiled dossiers to send 11 individuals to compulsory drug rehabilitation centers.
| In 2025, Thuan Hoa Ward Police Station had 7 collectives and 24 individuals who received commendations from various levels. Notably, at the conclusion of the "For National Security" emulation movement in 2025, Thuan Hoa Ward Police Station was honored to receive the "Leading Unit in Emulation Movement" flag from the Ministry of Public Security . |
