The biggest 'profit' for the Vietnamese national team.

The AFF Cup 2024 concluded on January 5th, but as of this morning (January 13th), the voting for individual awards, conducted by fans, is still ongoing. Also as of this morning, Vietnamese players are overwhelmingly leading their competitors in these polls.

Duy Mạnh, Hoàng Đức, and Xuân Son gained the upper hand.

Xuan Son is just waiting for the day he officially receives the award for best striker of the AFF Cup, as voted by the fans.

In the award for best striker, Nguyen Xuan Son is overwhelmingly ahead. He currently has 94.64% of the votes, far ahead of the second-placed Supachok Sarachat (Thailand), who currently has 2.56% of the votes. Third on the list of best strikers is Nguyen Tien Linh, with 2.36% of the votes.

In the poll for best midfielder of the tournament, Nguyen Hoang Duc led with 70.59% of the votes. Following him was Nguyen Quang Hai with 19.33% of the votes. The third-ranked midfielder was also a player from the Vietnamese national team, Nguyen Hai Long, with 8.96% of the votes.

In the poll for best defender, Vietnam's captain and center-back Do Duy Manh received 81.18% of the votes, topping the list. Second place went to center-back Bui Tien Dung with 15.59%. Meanwhile, the third and fourth places were both occupied by Thai players, but they were far behind the Vietnamese players. Nicholas Mickelson, ranked third, received only 1.70% of the votes, while Suphanan Bureerat, ranked fourth, received 1.19%.

Vietnam's goalkeeper Dinh Trieu dominated.

Finally, in the award for best goalkeeper of the AFF Cup 2024, voted on by fans, goalkeeper Nguyen Dinh Trieu received 96.95% of the votes. He was far ahead of the other contenders. The closest to Dinh Trieu was goalkeeper Patiwat Khammai (Thailand) with only 2.52% of the votes, while the other goalkeepers on the list, including Haziq Nadzli (Malaysia), Quincy Kammeraad (Philippines), and Izwan Mahbud (Singapore), did not reach even 1% of the votes.

Meanwhile, Dinh Trieu is far ahead of his rivals in the best goalkeeper category.

Previously, Nguyen Xuan Son and goalkeeper Nguyen Dinh Trieu received awards selected by the expert panel of the AFF Cup 2024. Xuan Son received two awards: Best Player and Top Scorer (7 goals), while goalkeeper Dinh Trieu received the Best Goalkeeper award, presented by the expert panel.

Returning to the fan-voted awards, with the current voting percentages, it's only a matter of time before Vietnamese players win the awards for best forward, best midfielder, best defender, and best goalkeeper.
