The impressive achievements of Doraemon Movie 45

Doraemon Movie 45 begins with Doraemon, Nobita, Shizuka, Jaian, and Suneo's plan to camp underwater. Besides the adventures, the film continues to explore familiar themes of the Doraemon series: friendship, courage, and the characters' journey of growth.

According to reports, Doraemon Movie 45 is currently leading in box office revenue in Vietnam, far surpassing its competitors. The other four films in the top 5 are Goodbye Gohan (over 1.6 billion VND), Village of the Dead (over 710 million VND) , Korean Ghost: The Man-Eating Lake (over 538 million VND), and Star Wars: Mandalorian and Grogu (over 421 million VND).

Previously, during the three-day weekend, Doraemon Movie 45 grossed over 37 billion VND in early screenings, accounting for more than 50% of the total box office revenue in Vietnam. A representative from Box Office Vietnam predicted that the film is expected to set a box office record at the end of May because June 1st falls on a Monday this year, meaning children will fill movie theaters from May 29th to 31st.

Thus, this week, the Vietnamese box office witnessed fierce competition from foreign films. Vietnamese projects such as "Underworld Beauty Salon " and "A Time We Loved" faced difficulties with lackluster revenues of 12.6 billion VND and 1.7 billion VND respectively. Meanwhile, projects like "Phi Phong: Blood Demon of the Sacred Forest" and "Five-Toed Pig" lost their appeal after attracting attention in Vietnamese theaters during the April 30th holiday.
