Doraemon's underwater adventure

This summer, the robotic cat Doraemon returns to young audiences with its 45th film, "Doraemon Movie: Nobita and the Castle Under the Sea," which premieres on May 22nd.

This is a remake of the 1983 film of the same name – one of the most beloved films in the history of the Doraemon franchise. With a colorful ocean theme, the film follows Doraemon, Nobita, and their friends on a picnic at the bottom of the sea during their summer vacation.

What started as a seemingly ordinary outing unexpectedly leads the group to discover a mysterious shipwreck and meet El, a teenager from the Mu Federation, a kingdom deep beneath the ocean. The adventure quickly escalates as the curse of the "Demon Castle" awakens, threatening the safety of the underwater world and even Earth. Doraemon and his friends must work together to overcome the challenges, protect their loved ones, and maintain peace in the ocean.

Notably, this is also the first 2D Doraemon film released with 4D technology, offering a more immersive cinematic experience for viewers. The film's content is also developed in a dramatic and emotionally rich direction to provide an engaging experience for both young audiences and fans of the robot cat Doraemon.

Besides the adventure element, the film continues to maintain the familiar spirit of the Doraemon series with messages about friendship, solidarity, and awareness of protecting the marine environment. The vast, colorful ocean world is captured using modern technology, promising an impressive visual experience on the big screen.

Alongside the film's premiere, numerous accompanying activities were organized in Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, and other locations. The Hanoi Book Street was decorated with adorable images of characters from the Doraemon movie.

Free Doraemon movie screenings and giveaways will also take place here and at many cinemas and shopping malls in the capital city on the occasion of Children's Day on June 1st, promising to create a vibrant and meaningful summer for children after a year of hard work at school.
