At the Vietnam-Asia DX Summit 2025, themed "Mastering Technology - Breakthrough, Soaring Forward," held on May 27th, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA) and General Director ofFPT Group, affirmed: "We are shaping our development strategy based on four pillars, closely linked to four major resolutions of the Politburo: Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new situation; Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW on reforming the work of building and implementing laws to meet the requirements of national development in the new era; and Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on the development of the private economy..."

Vietnam currently has over 54,500 digital technology businesses, a 16% increase compared to 2023. The industry's total revenue reached nearly $152 billion, employing over 1.2 million people. “These figures are not just statistics. They are clear evidence that technology today is a distinct field and has become a core infrastructure for national development,” shared Mr. Vu Anh Tu, Chief Technology Officer of FPT Group.

Vietnam is becoming an international digital services hub, with a large and dynamic IT workforce meeting the demands of discerning markets such as Japan, the United States, and Europe. According to Mr. Khoa, Vietnam needs to prioritize investment in strategic infrastructure such as artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductors, while also promoting the development of the private education sector. The private education sector can create a strong link between businesses and training, and between market demand and human resources.

Thanks to technology, people and businesses can access land management information more easily.

Applying digital technology to urban planning.

According to a report by the World Economic Forum (WEF), by 2025, artificial intelligence (AI) could replace 85 million jobs, but at the same time create approximately 97 million new job opportunities, mainly in the fields of technology, healthcare, renewable energy, and the creative economy.

Stain Sign, President of the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO), stated: “AI can measure results very quickly and have a significant impact on costs and management. For example, if you have to complete 10 tasks simultaneously today, with AI, you can do it in two steps instead of 10.”

FPT Group is experimenting with a flipped classroom model where students learn AI at home through a platform, then come to class to present and debate; teachers act as critiquers. This model will be widely applied from the 2025-2026 academic year. At the university level, more than 12,000 students have been trained in AI and practiced with tools such as CodeVista to improve productivity and creative thinking.

Last May, five major universities in Vietnam, including Hanoi University of Science and Technology and FPT University, formed an alliance to train human resources to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW with the goal of: building a high-quality workforce; promoting training and skill development; and strengthening research and application of AI.

Currently, Vietnam has 900,000 businesses, and this number is estimated to reach two million by 2030. In the future, approximately one million individual business households will transform into enterprises. Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and startups using AI will create a vast market.
