Master technology, create breakthroughs

Vietnam is entering a new phase, with science and technology becoming the key driving force for economic growth. Mastering advanced technologies is a prerequisite, and the core force in this process is young engineers ready to break through.

At the Vietnam-Asia DX Summit 2025 with the theme "Mastering technology - Breakthrough, rise up" on May 27, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA), General Director of FPT Corporation affirmed: We shape our development strategy based on four pillars, associated with four major resolutions of the Politburo, namely: Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthrough in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new situation; Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW on innovation in law making and enforcement to meet the requirements of national development in the new era and Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private economic development...

Vietnam currently has more than 54,500 digital technology enterprises, up 16% compared to 2023. The industry's total revenue reached nearly 152 billion USD, with more than 1.2 million workers working in this field. "These numbers are not just statistics. They are clear evidence that technology today is a separate field and has become the core development infrastructure of the country," said Mr. Vu Anh Tu, Chief Technology Officer of FPT Corporation.

Vietnam is becoming an international digital service center, with a large, dynamic IT workforce that meets the demands of demanding markets such as Japan, the United States, and Europe. According to Mr. Khoa, Vietnam needs to prioritize investment in strategic infrastructure such as artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, and at the same time promote the development of the privateeducation sector. The private education force can closely link businesses and training, market demand and human resources.

Thanks to technology, people and businesses can look up land management information more easily.

Applying digital technology to urban planning

According to a report by the World Economic Forum (WEF), by 2025, artificial intelligence (AI) could replace 85 million jobs, but at the same time create about 97 million new job opportunities, mainly in the fields of technology, healthcare, renewable energy and creative economy.

“AI can measure results very quickly and has a huge impact on cost and management,” said Stain Sign, President of the Asia-Oceania Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO). “For example, if you have to complete 10 tasks at the same time today, with AI, you can do it in two steps instead of 10 steps.”

FPT Corporation is testing a flipped classroom model where students learn AI at home through the platform, present and debate in class, and teachers act as critics. This model will be widely applied from the 2025-2026 school year. At the university level, more than 12,000 students have been trained in AI and practiced with tools like CodeVista to improve productivity and creative thinking.

Last May, five major universities in Vietnam, including Hanoi University of Science and Technology and FPT University, established a human resource training alliance to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW with the goals of: Building a high-quality workforce; promoting training and skills development; enhancing AI research and application.

Currently, Vietnam has 900,000 businesses, and by 2030 it is estimated to have about two million. In the coming time, about one million individual business households will transform into businesses. Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and startups using AI will create a large market.
