Lam Dong province establishes a multi-level school to facilitate students' education after the province's merger.

GD&TĐ - In order to meet the learning needs of students after the province's merger, the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training has proposed the establishment of Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School.

On September 9th, information from the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training indicated that Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School will be established. The purpose is to meet the educational needs of children of officials and employees from Binh Thuan and Dak Nong (formerly) who have moved to Da Lat to work after the province's merger.

According to Ms. Le Thi Bich Lien, Director of the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training, Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School is located at 39 Tran Phu Street, Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat. This area utilizes the facilities of the former Lam Dong College of Economics and Technology, Anh Dao Kindergarten, and the former Provincial People's Court.

The school is expected to accommodate 2,050 students in 50 classes, including 20 primary school classes and 30 secondary school classes. To ensure smooth teaching operations, the Department of Education and Training will deploy approximately 87 staff and teachers to work at the school.
With the handover of the site completed, the Lam Dong Department of Education and Training requests relevant departments and agencies to coordinate the implementation of necessary items such as: appraising repair plans, ensuring fire safety, purchasing synchronized teaching equipment, etc., in order to bring the new facility into effective operation and meet the needs from the first school year.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, the establishment of Xuan Huong Primary and Secondary School is an urgent requirement and needs to be implemented on schedule to promptly serve teaching and learning. He requested the Department of Education and Training to urgently develop a specific plan, based on a survey of the number of students and a plan for supplementing the teaching staff accurately and comprehensively.

At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Xuân Hương ward government in Da Lat, along with relevant departments and agencies, to work together in a coordinated manner to ensure that Xuân Hương Primary and Secondary School officially opens on April 18, 2026.

According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training, there are currently more than 1,000 students, children of officials and employees from the former Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces, studying at schools in the former Da Lat city. The establishment of the new school is considered a timely solution, creating favorable learning conditions for these children.
