At the 13th Conference on Industrial Promotion of Central and Central Highlands Provinces and Cities in 2023, Ms. Cao Thi Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province, stated that a prominent feature of Lam Dong's current industrial promotion policy is its focus on supporting sectors oriented towards the production of new products, products with high scientific and technological application content, deeply processed products, and key agricultural products of the province. This aims to form a cooperative linkage chain through a form of support with recoverable funds to preserve the province's budget.
Currently, industrial promotion activities have been widely implemented at the commune and district levels; the disbursement of local industrial promotion funds in 2022 reached 100% of the project plan and 99% of the budget plan, demonstrating effectiveness and widespread impact on businesses; the work of disseminating information and raising awareness among businesses about accessing industrial promotion funds has been in-depth and practical; the role of seed capital has been effectively utilized, encouraging rural industrial establishments to invest in expanding production and improving product quality and productivity.
According to the Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province, the program has truly attracted the attention of beneficiaries, especially small-scale businesses in economically disadvantaged areas such as Dam Rong district and Cat Tien district.
Furthermore, Lam Dong province pays special attention to promoting and expanding the market for its products. Over the two years (2022-2023), it allocated funds to organize trade surveys for industrial production facilities to expand their product markets in several provinces in the Southeast, Mekong Delta, Central, and Northern regions.
However, Ms. Cao Thi Thanh stated that in recent years, the industrial promotion program's support for businesses has faced many difficulties, such as: the level of support from the industrial promotion program is low compared to the agriculture and science and technology sectors; the content and target of support overlap; and many businesses operate at a reduced capacity, not expanding investment due to a lack of orders…
"Therefore, in the coming period, we will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to strengthen the dissemination of information and policies on industrial promotion through various mass media channels with diverse and varied methods, thereby creating a 'support system' for businesses," said Ms. Cao Thi Thanh.
