Making a feature film about the heroine Vo Thi Sau.

On May 17th, Viettel Media, Production Q Communications Company, and director Le Van Kiet announced the launch of the film project "Red Earth".

Set in the Long My War Zone and the Ba Ria base area, the film takes viewers back to the years when a young generation, barely grown up, had to live amidst bombs, bullets, and the brutality of war. In that context, the film portrays Vo Thi Sau at the age of 13, innocent, cheerful, and with simple dreams like other young girls. However, amidst the fierce upheavals of war, Vo Thi Sau decided to join the fight for her country. Director Le Van Kiet shared that the film not only recreates the portrait of the hero Vo Thi Sau but also delves into the inner lives of the people in the Dat Do Volunteer Police Team. Alongside the project announcement, the "Dat Do" film crew launched a large-scale casting call in Ho Chi Minh City and several neighboring localities. The film is expected to be released in 2027, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the death of the heroic martyr Vo Thi Sau (1952-2027).
