On June 14th, the Da Nang City Youth Union organized a city-wide launch ceremony with the theme "Da Nang Youth Join Hands to Protect the Marine Environment," officially kicking off the "60-Day Intensive Program for Youth to Build Landscapes and Protect the Environment."
According to the plan, the program will be implemented simultaneously in 93 communes and wards across the city with many practical activities such as environmental sanitation, urban landscape beautification, building "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful" youth roads, planting and caring for trees, promoting waste sorting at source, reducing plastic waste, and protecting the marine environment.

The activity aims to promote the pioneering and voluntary role of youth union members in environmental protection, contributing to building the image of Da Nang's beaches as green, clean, beautiful, civilized, and friendly.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, youth forces deployed to collect plastic waste, household waste, and other types of waste generated along the Tan Tra coastline, and simultaneously carried out waste sorting after collection to improve processing efficiency.
Volunteer teams also stepped up efforts to raise awareness among locals and tourists about protecting the marine environment, reducing the use of single-use plastic products, and avoiding littering.
The highlight of this year's campaign is the "Clean up Son Tra – Diving to clean up trash and rescue coral reefs" program, taking place in the Hon Sup area of the Son Tra peninsula.

Here, volunteers receive training in swimming, diving, and underwater trash collection, and participate in removing fishing gear entangled in coral reefs, often referred to as "ghost nets," in order to contribute to the protection of the marine ecosystem.
In addition, the Da Nang Youth Union also organized activities such as the "Clean up Son Tra – For a green Son Tra" program and a workshop on the theme "Protecting wildlife," thereby raising community awareness about nature conservation and biodiversity.

Within the framework of the "60-Day Youth Campaign to Build Landscapes and Protect the Environment," Youth Union branches in 93 communes and wards simultaneously organized "Green Sunday" activities including environmental sanitation, tree care, urban landscape beautification, and the creation of "Bright, Green, Clean, and Beautiful Youth Roads" models.
According to the plan, each locality will register to build and maintain at least 3 model roads, corresponding to 279 youth roads throughout the city, contributing to creating a green, clean, and beautiful urban landscape and improving the quality of life for residents.
