Over the past period, the members of the Youth Union and students of the Thai Nguyen University branch in Lao Cai province have continuously promoted a pioneering and innovative role in volunteer movements.
Student union members pay tribute to the heroic martyrs.
Imbued with the spirit of "Wherever youth are needed, youth will be there; whatever is difficult, youth will overcome it," the Youth Union of the Branch Campus has always been a vanguard force on all fronts, from environmental protection and community health care to traditional education and the moral principle of "drinking water and remembering the source."
Many practical activities spread a sense of responsibility.
In March – Youth Month 2025, amidst the vibrant atmosphere celebrating the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2025), the Youth Union of the Thai Nguyen University Branch in Lao Cai Province organized a general cleanup campaign to improve the environment along key routes such as 19/5 Street, Hoang The Thien Street, and Vuong Thua Vu Street in Binh Minh Ward, as well as within the school grounds. This activity not only demonstrates environmental protection but also reflects the students' awareness and responsibility towards the local community.
Simultaneously, the unit coordinated with the Binh Minh Ward Youth Union to disseminate information and guide local residents in integrating health insurance information into their electronic health records. In the context of the ongoing national digital transformation, this activity has helped people access and apply technology to health management, contributing to improved healthcare for the entire population.
In particular, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the Reunification of the Country (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), members of the Youth Union and students of the branch campus organized a cleanup and candle-lighting ceremony at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Nam Cuong Ward, Lao Cai City. This not only demonstrated profound gratitude to the heroic martyrs but also served as a reminder to today's young generations of their responsibility to preserve and promote these noble historical values.
Nurturing a generation of young people who are both politically committed and professionally competent.
Sharing her vision for future activities, Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Hien, Secretary of the Youth Union of Thai Nguyen University's branch in Lao Cai province, emphasized: "Youth Union activities and youth movements not only aim to promote the pioneering and volunteer role of union members and students in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland, but also provide a valuable practical environment for them to cultivate qualities, skills, a sense of responsibility, and civic awareness."
Not only focusing on short-term activities, the Branch Campus Youth Union also implements many long-term programs such as: the "Supporting Students During Exams" volunteer team, the "Green Summer" campaign in 2025… These activities are organized systematically, mobilizing a large number of students to participate, actively supporting students and local people in their studies, daily lives, and socio-economic development.
Giang A De, a student from the DHK6TH2 Youth Union, emotionally shared: “When participating in volunteer activities, I feel very happy because I have contributed my small part to building the community and bringing positive values to society. It is also an opportunity for me to learn and grow more mature every day.”
Similarly, Chảo Ông Lố, a student from the DHK7TH3 Youth Union, said: “The lively and practical activities over the past period have helped me cultivate discipline, teamwork skills, and especially a proactive and dynamic spirit – qualities that are essential for my future career.”
The activities of the Youth Union of Thai Nguyen University's branch in Lao Cai province not only bring social value but also affirm the strength of the Youth Union organization within the university. From grassroots movements to in-depth awareness, from individuals to collectives, the image of Youth Union members is always present, positive, creative, and compassionate in the hearts of the people and the community.
