The highlight of the program was the solo dance performance "The Era of Rising Up," with music by Hoang Trung and choreography by Meritorious Artist Phuong Lich and Bich Ngoc. With three distinct and concise stages: Origins - Transformation - Breakthrough, the performance opens with images of the rice-farming civilization with conical hats, baskets, straw, and rice, progressing to the peak of industrialization with the appearance of gears and wrenches, powerful and decisive movements, and a breakthrough with an image of rising up and asserting itself. Modern lighting, artistic movements, and professional music made the performance a must-see.
The remaining two performances, "Song of the New Era" (Xuan Phap - Van Hiep) and "Singing About Today's City - Can Tho, the City of Young Hope," were like proud symphony pieces about the land of Tay Do. The image of Can Tho emerged with its modern constructions, dynamic pace of life, and unwavering aspiration for progress, all perfectly conveyed.
It is evident that Can Tho City's art program at this festival was meticulously prepared in both content and form. From music, dance, and theatrical performances to stage design, everything demonstrated seriousness, professionalism, and dedication. More importantly, the program showcased the city's commitment to the cultural and artistic fields as a solid spiritual foundation.
From stirring melodies to expressive dances, from historical memories to aspirations for the future – all blend together, spreading faith and hope. It is faith in the leadership of the Party, faith in the strength of the people's unity, and faith in a Vietnam steadily entering a new era of development.
