Ensuring democracy
To effectively implement the land donation for road expansion, villages in Bang Lang commune have intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to create consensus among the people. The content and implementation plan are discussed openly at village meetings, ensuring democracy and suitability to actual conditions, helping people understand and proactively participate.
During the mobilization process, in addition to organizing community meetings, village officials directly visited each group of households involved to discuss, explain, and agree on the routes that needed to be widened. The mobilization was carried out flexibly, closely adhering to each specific circumstance, especially with households whose land was affected. As a result, initial concerns were gradually resolved, leading to a high level of consensus.

Mr. Nguyen Van Ty, Head of Ha Thanh village, Bang Lang commune, said: “When the project was first implemented, some households were hesitant due to issues related to land and infrastructure. However, after being informed and having the long-term benefits clearly explained, the people agreed and supported the policy. When some households took the lead in implementing it, other households also voluntarily followed suit.”
Since then, the donation of land for road expansion has received a positive response from residents in many villages in the area. Preparations have accelerated, creating a foundation for implementation in the villages.
Donating land and contributing labor to build roads.
Since the end of 2025, the movement to donate land for road expansion in Bang Lang commune has been implemented and quickly spread. Many villages have simultaneously participated, achieving positive initial results.
During the implementation process, the people unanimously agreed to widen the road surface from 5m to 6-7m for inter-village and hamlet roads; and to open additional roads within the fields to suit the needs of transportation and production. To date, 6 villages have implemented the project, widening nearly 7.3 km with a total land donation area of approximately 17,850 m² . Along with road widening, the preparation of land for the construction of public works such as power lines, canals, and cultural centers has also been implemented synchronously, linked to the transportation and production needs of the people. Through this, the infrastructure in the area has been gradually improved, creating a foundation for the next phase.
Not only did many households donate land, but they were also willing to cut down perennial trees, demolish fences, fill in fields, gardens, ponds, and forests to expand roads. These areas, which have been closely associated with their lives and production for a long time, were voluntarily given for the common good, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and collective effort of the people.
In addition, the households contributed nearly 500 man-days of labor along with funds to implement the project. The people directly participated in leveling the ground, dismantling structures, preparing the roadbed, and contributing to the completion of the road surface.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong, from Chang Tham village, Bang Lang commune, shared: “My family donated a portion of our garden land, demolished over 200 meters of boundary wall, and contributed labor to widen the road. Previously, the road was narrow and difficult to travel on, but now it is wider, making it convenient for vehicles and easier to transport agricultural products, so my family fully supports this initiative.”
Based on the initial results, Bang Lang commune has decided to continue promoting and implementing the program in villages that have not yet participated, aiming for uniformity across the area. This will serve as a foundation for the locality to gradually improve its infrastructure in line with the overall development plan.
Comrade Hoang Van Tim, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bang Lang commune, said: "Thanks to the people's land donations and labor contributions, many rural roads have been expanded, facilitating travel and production. In the coming time, the locality will continue to mobilize resources to gradually concrete and complete the transportation system, contributing to promoting economic development and improving the lives of the people."
