When farmers in the capital city join hands with clean agricultural products.

By promoting the application of science and technology in production, in recent years, the Hanoi Farmers' Association at all levels has developed many models of organic farming, high-tech agriculture, and agricultural production-consumption linkages. These models not only contribute to increasing the value of agricultural production but also provide an increasing amount of safe food for consumers.

The model of growing Korean melons in greenhouses in Tung Thien ward produces safe, high-quality products with high economic efficiency.

Developing green agriculture from effective models.

Hanoi currently has over 200 high-tech agricultural models, 150 production-consumption linkage chains, and many concentrated production areas such as safe vegetable growing areas in Chuong My, Soc Son, and Dong Anh; flower and ornamental plant growing areas in Tay Tuu and Me Linh; and disease-free livestock farming areas in Quoc Oai, Phuc Tho, and Ba Vi... Many farmer members have boldly invested in greenhouses, automatic irrigation systems, and applied digital technology in product management and traceability, generating hundreds of millions of VND in revenue per model per year.

The various levels of the Farmers' Association also coordinate with departments, agencies, and the City's Farmers' Support Fund to provide capital and technical training for members to develop production. Many exemplary models have been implemented, such as "VietGAP safe vegetables," "Organic livestock farming," and "Circular agriculture linked to the green economy." At the same time, the Association has also established and maintained five connection points for supplying clean and safe agricultural products in Quang Oai, Quoc Oai, Gia Lam, and Dong Anh districts...

According to Pham Hai Hoa, Chairman of the Hanoi City Farmers' Association, in order to promote the core role of farmers in ensuring food safety, the Association has launched the emulation movement "Hanoi Farmers Accompanying Clean Agricultural Products" in conjunction with the campaign "For a Clean Environment, for Community Health, Hanoi Farmers Only Produce, Process, Consume, and Sell Safe Agricultural Products" for the period 2026-2030. The movement aims to raise awareness and change the actions of officials and members regarding safe agricultural production, linked to environmental protection and community health.

In response to the movement, the Farmers' Association of Soc Son commune has propagated and mobilized more than 3,000 members to participate in environmental protection through models of collecting and sorting waste at source; using organic waste as fertilizer; treating livestock waste using biotechnology; composting agricultural waste; processing straw after harvest; building clean fields, etc.

These "green and clean" models not only contribute to reducing environmental pollution at the local level but also raise awareness and change the production habits of farmer members and the community towards environmentally friendly practices. In particular, safe, organic, and VietGAP-certified agricultural production models have initially shown clear effectiveness, creating clean and safe products for consumers and increasing the value of local agricultural products.

In addition, the Farmers' Association of Soc Son commune has launched the movement "Farmers say no to unsafe food," encouraging the widespread adoption of safe, organic, and VietGAP-certified agricultural production models, and strengthening linkages in production and product consumption. This is also a criterion for annual competition to evaluate the titles of "Outstanding Farmer Member" and "Strong Branch Association."

Clean agricultural products pave the way for sustainable development.

Affirming that clean agricultural products play a crucial role in the socio-economic development of the locality, the Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Thu Lam commune, Pham Duc Trong, said that agricultural production in the commune is aiming to ensure a clean and safe food supply for the people. The entire commune currently has 4 concentrated agricultural production areas along with 15 production linkage models applying high technology, building brands, and expanding product markets...

To promote the role of farmers in developing urban-ecological agriculture, the Farmers' Association of Thu Lam commune is promoting the model of "Ecological agriculture - Circular agriculture - Green agriculture," utilizing by-products, reusing organic waste, saving water and energy, aiming for green and clean agriculture that meets market demands.

According to Tong Ba Luong, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Chuong My Ward, more than 5,000 farmer members in the area always focus on developing clean, organic, and VietGAP-certified agriculture. The association has encouraged farmers to build and replicate many high-tech application models such as growing organic vegetables in greenhouses in Giap Ngo residential area; growing cantaloupe according to VietGAP standards in Thuy Huong area; raising free-range chickens using automatic feeding and watering systems; and high-tech chicken farming for herbal, antibiotic-free eggs by Kien Ca High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative, which has achieved OCOP 4-star and VietGAP certification...

According to Pham Hai Hoa, Chairman of the Hanoi City Farmers' Association, during the period 2026-2030, the Association at all levels aims for 100% of member households producing and trading agricultural products and food to register and commit to ensuring food safety; and 100% of commune-level Farmers' Associations to establish and maintain at least one point of supply for clean and safe agricultural products. Specifically for 2026, the city aims to establish and effectively maintain 79 stores and points of supply for clean agricultural products throughout the city.

In addition, 100% of commune and ward Farmers' Associations will promote and encourage members to develop at least one product to participate in the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, linked with brand and trademark development; maintaining production areas according to VietGAP, organic standards, applying high technology and advanced technical models. At the same time, all projects borrowing capital from the Farmers' Support Fund must commit to implementing safe, high-quality, and environmentally friendly agricultural production and business processes.

Ms. Pham Hai Hoa affirmed that the production, processing, consumption, and marketing of safe agricultural products not only contribute to promoting circular, environmentally friendly agriculture but also provide safer meals and a healthier living environment for the community. Today's farmers in Hanoi not only produce food but also contribute to safeguarding public health, enhancing the reputation of Vietnamese agricultural products, and building the image of civilized and responsible farmers in the new era.
