- On the morning of June 1st, the Lang Son Provincial Police Detention Center held a ceremony to announce the 2026 amnesty decision of the President of Vietnam for inmates serving sentences at the Prisoner Management Sub-camp of the Lang Son Provincial Police Detention Center.
Attending the announcement ceremony were Comrade Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Police, the Provincial People's Court, and the Provincial People's Procuratorate.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Provincial Police Detention Center announced Decision No. 751/QD-CTN dated May 26, 2026, of the President of Vietnam on the 2026 amnesty. Accordingly, 9,950 prisoners nationwide who are serving sentences are eligible for amnesty in 2026, including 33 prisoners from the Lang Son Provincial Police Detention Center. The decision takes effect from June 1, 2026.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that those granted amnesty return to their localities and continue to strictly abide by the law, actively engage in labor and production, overcome feelings of shame and inferiority, and stay away from illegal activities; they should proactively contact local authorities, grassroots police forces, and mass organizations for guidance and support in stabilizing their lives and reintegrating into the community.
For those inmates who were not granted amnesty in this round, he urged them to continue their rehabilitation with peace of mind, strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the Detention Center; and actively study, work, and train to make further progress. He emphasized: The leniency policy of the Party and the State is always open to those who are truly remorseful, have reformed well, and meet the conditions as prescribed.

The comrade suggested: The Provincial Police should direct the commune-level police to advise the local Party committees and authorities on receiving, managing, educating , and assisting those granted amnesty to reintegrate into the community upon returning to their localities; the People's Committees of wards and communes need to thoroughly understand the circumstances, thoughts, and aspirations of those granted amnesty; and assign organizations and individuals to monitor, assist, and guide those granted amnesty in completing legal procedures, accessing credit policies, vocational training, and finding employment.
At the same time, departments, agencies, mass organizations, and local authorities should strengthen coordination in the work of reintegrating people into the community; mobilize families, clans, and residential areas to care for, encourage, and not discriminate against or ostracize those granted amnesty, helping them find jobs, income, and a stable living environment, minimizing the risk of recidivism and violations of the law.
Regarding the Provincial Police Detention Center and the Provincial Police Criminal Enforcement Agency, the comrade requested that they continue to effectively manage and educate prisoners, ensuring full compliance with regulations and policies; creating conditions for prisoners to feel secure in their rehabilitation, strive for progress, and have more opportunities to benefit from the leniency policies of the Party and the State.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Provincial Police Detention Center launched a competitive emulation movement among the inmates.
