On the morning of June 17, in Hanoi , the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission delegation led by Party Central Committee member and Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Lai Xuan Mon visited and congratulated Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and press agencies on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
Congratulating the collective leadership, cadres, reporters, editors, technicians and employees of VNA on the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Lai Xuan Mon emphasized that over the past 8 decades, VNA has always maintained its role as a strategic and trustworthy news agency of the Party and State; a key, consistent, timely and accurate information flow, contributing to orienting public opinion, consolidating people's trust and protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
Faced with increasingly high demands on revolutionary journalism in general and VNA in particular, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission requested VNA to continue to maintain its political stance, improve professional ethics, train professional skills, and constantly innovate its thinking and methods of journalism in the digital age.
Each VNA officer, reporter and editor must constantly cultivate and train their mettle, dedication, honesty and devotion to their profession, contributing to spreading positive values, strengthening social trust, protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against bad and toxic information.
Regarding important political events of the country in the coming time such as the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the 14th National Congress of the Party, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission requested that Vietnam News Agency continue to affirm its role as a strategic, trustworthy, leading news agency, one of the official sources of information, orienting public opinion, creating consensus among the people, contributing to the development of professional, humane, and modern journalism.
VNA builds a proactive, systematic, in-depth and strategic propaganda plan; strengthens news lines, special pages and columns; spreads the spirit of great solidarity, the will to develop and the aspiration to rise of the country. Thereby, continuing to affirm its role as a key news agency, a strategic, official, accurate and timely source of information, effectively serving the leadership of the Party, the management of the State and the increasing information needs of the people.
Mr. Lai Xuan Mon affirmed that the Central Propaganda and Education Commission always pays attention to, accompanies and creates favorable conditions for VNA to continue to develop and successfully fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and State; at the same time, he believes that VNA will continue to maintain its position as the leading national news agency in the era of digital transformation and deep international integration.
On the same morning, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Lai Xuan Mon and the delegation visited and congratulated the collective leaders, cadres, reporters, editors, technicians, and workers of the Voice of Vietnam, People's Police Newspaper, Vietnam Law Newspaper, and Law Protection Newspaper, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
At the press agencies, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission acknowledged and highly appreciated the role of press agencies in propagating the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; promptly reflecting social issues, especially those related to security, order, law, justice, etc.; thereby contributing to building trust, orienting values, spreading the spirit of respect for the law, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission requested that press agencies continue to promote their role as shock forces on the ideological front, proactively providing information, fighting against erroneous viewpoints, and protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
Mr. Lai Xuan Mon affirmed that the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission is ready to accompany and create favorable conditions for press agencies to continue to excellently fulfill their assigned political tasks, making practical contributions to the cause of protecting, building and developing the country./.
