The Prime Minister emphasized that he always pays close attention to directing ministries, sectors, and enterprises to actively implement high-level agreements and commitments reached during the visit to Cuba by General Secretary and President To Lam in September 2024, especially on food security, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.
The Party, Government and people of Vietnam consistently support Cuba, demanding an end to the embargo and removal of Cuba from the list of countries believed to sponsor terrorism.
The First Secretary and President of Cuba expressed his great appreciation for the solidarity and valuable support of the Party, Government, National Assembly and people of Vietnam for Cuba.
Cuban leaders welcomed and appreciated the presence and effective operations of Vietnamese enterprises that are cooperating in business and investment in Cuba; affirmed that Cuba always pays attention to and creates favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to develop and expand business and investment activities in Cuba, bringing benefits to both sides.
The two sides agreed to continue to increase delegation exchanges and high-level contacts, regularly implement bilateral dialogue and cooperation mechanisms including political consultations... At the same time, the two sides agreed to continue to closely coordinate in implementing various activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year to contribute to educating the younger generation about the tradition of special friendship and solidarity between the two peoples.
The two leaders also discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern; agreed to closely coordinate at multilateral forums such as the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, South-South Cooperation, and the East Asia-Latin America Cooperation Forum.
Meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam considers South Africa a leading important partner in the African region; highly appreciates South Africa's position and prestige in the international and regional arenas, including its role as G20 Chair in 2025...
The Prime Minister said that Vietnam and South Africa still have much room to complement each other and deepen their comprehensive cooperation, especially in economics, trade, investment, education - training, tourism, and people-to-people exchange, thereby creating momentum to elevate the relationship to new heights.
The Prime Minister thanked South Africa for inviting senior Vietnamese leaders to attend the G20 Summit and respectfully invited the South African President to visit Vietnam soon.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa emphasized that the phone call with General Secretary To Lam in April was very important, contributing to deepening the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries.
The President affirmed that South Africa highly values the traditional friendship that has been nurtured by the leaders and people of the two countries. He expressed his wish to visit Vietnam this year.
The two sides discussed major orientations and agreed to jointly study and sign agreements and legal frameworks to promote economic cooperation, enhance cooperation in education, national defense and security, and at the same time study and expand cooperation to potential areas such as energy, mining, sustainable use of resources, infrastructure development, and climate change response.

At the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov , the two sides reaffirmed the principles and major orientations to promote and strengthen cooperation, develop the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
The two sides agreed to continue effectively implementing the commitments and agreements reached during General Secretary To Lam's visit to the Russian Federation (last May), increase delegation exchanges at all levels and through all channels; promote economic-trade, investment, transport, e-commerce, labor cooperation, biological and pharmaceutical cooperation, tourism and people-to-people exchange.
