No longer the “privilege” of KOLs, KOCs or million-view TikTokers, livestream sales sessions are witnessing the increasing appearance of faces that were previously only familiar at the conference table: Provincial leaders, group chairmen or business general directors.
They are proactively stepping in front of the camera, not hesitating to hold products for sale, close deals, chat, and interact like real online sellers.
Provincial leaders visit online market
One day at the end of June, on the TikTok platform, viewers were surprised to see Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh appear as the "host" for a special livestream session promoting Luc Ngan litchi.
In the frame, Mr. Thinh wears a simple shirt, holds a bunch of lychees in his hand, and speaks in a simple, friendly voice. Just like an experienced livestream seller, he introduces regional specialties in detail, responds to comments, and encourages buyers to close the deal.
"What touched me most was not the 54 tons of lychee sold, but the thank-you calls from people and the sharing that this was the first time seeing a provincial leader directly livestream selling goods," Mr. Thinh said after the broadcast.
The livestream session was part of the Luc Ngan Lychee Week, organized by Bac Ninh province to promote agricultural product consumption via digital platforms - part of the digital transformation plan. However, the fact that a provincial leader directly "went live" is still unprecedented.
“This is a spontaneous action, but it comes from the spirit of innovation and creativity in action. I want farmers and young people to dare to step out and tell the story of their products to the global market.” Mr. Thinh said.
From the fair stage to the online booth, leaders are now not only decision makers but also directly involved in operating and leading the market.
Previously, in early 2024, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nghiem Xuan Cuong also surprised everyone when he livestreamed at the OCOP Fair, where he and local people introduced and sold key agricultural products.
“ I always want to bring local agricultural products to e-commerce platforms, making the most of the power of technology ,” Mr. Cuong shared.
Not only an act of encouragement, the direct appearance of provincial leaders shows a new perspective on trade promotion: Not only "giving instructions", but directly "going to the market".
Big guys "play big" on livestream
Not only government leaders, but also the "big guys" in the real estate sector are joining the wave of online sales. Recently, C-Holdings Joint Stock Company in collaboration with BHS Group organized a livestream session to sell houses in the mega live model, a rare thing in the real estate market.
The special point lies in the live appearance of Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of C-Holdings as the host of the livestream selling the apartment project The Felix (Thuan An City, old Binh Duong ). Viewers not only get to hear project information but also interact, ask questions and... make deposits directly during the broadcast.
According to statistics, the livestream attracted 151,200 views, more than 31,000 comments, 1.4 million likes and 1,200 phone numbers left for consultation. As a result, 517 bookings were recorded during the livestream.
Not only C‑Holdings, on the evening of July 1, Sunshine Group also caused a stir in the market when it broadcast a real estate livestream program on national television, and also broadcast live on the Noble App. The first project to "go live" was Sunshine Green Iconic (Hanoi) - a 2-bedroom apartment with high-end built-in furniture.
The highlight of the program is the closed auction model, with the starting price being only 50% of the market price. After 3 rounds of intense auction, customer Dinh Hung Vi successfully "closed the deal" for the apartment at 5.5 billion VND, more than 30% lower than the market price. Sunshine Group then donated 500 million VND from the transaction to the charity fund "Couple of Loving Leaves".
Not stopping at one event, Sunshine Group affirms that this is a long-term strategy, not only to sell products but also to spread the spirit for the community.
Not only is the method changing, the livestream sessions with the participation of provincial leaders and large business owners show a significant change. The market leader is no longer behind the scenes, but is ready to step onto the stage, becoming the face of new products and development thinking.
Livestream is now not only a sales tool for KOLs and KOCs, but has become a modern communication and trade promotion channel, attracting even those who are far from the public. From lychee to luxury real estate, from farmers to large corporations, "online markets" are becoming a new meeting point for all classes in the digital market economy.
