The planned land areas for construction of a number of projects include: Thang Binh High-Tech Industrial Park, Chu Lai Airport Northwest Urban Area and Duty-free Zone associated with Chu Lai Airport.
Surveying the planned land area of Thang Binh High-Tech Industrial Park (Thang Dien commune), Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Quang Nam listened to the Department of Construction and the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of Quang Nam province (Da Nang city) report on the preliminary implementation of the project.
In particular, Thang Binh High-Tech Industrial Park has an area of about 361 hectares in the area of Binh Tu, Binh Trung, Binh Sa communes of the old Thang Binh district. This industrial park is divided into main functional areas such as: high-tech production area; research - development and training area - nursery...
After coming into operation, the industrial park will attract key industries such as: microelectronics - information technology; biotechnology and microbiology, health-related sciences and new materials science...
According to the planning project, the Northwest Urban Area of Chu Lai Airport has an area of over 538.5 hectares, located in Nui Thanh commune, with criteria equivalent to a type II urban area. The entire urban area is divided into 2 functional areas including: the urban development area combined with renovation, with an area of about 239.2 hectares; the commercial center area, urban public services, with an area of over 299.3 hectares.
In addition, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Quang Nam also came to survey the construction site of the Duty Free Zone associated with Chu Lai Airport. According to the planning project, the duty free zone has an area of over 223.2 hectares, located in Nui Thanh commune, planned as a complex area for production, processing, trade activities, and multi-functional logistics services.
The duty-free zone will apply new institutions and policy mechanisms; create an equal investment and business environment, in accordance with international practices for all types of business of domestic and foreign economic organizations; contribute to promoting economic development in the south of Da Nang city.
