According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the Lunar New Year holiday schedule for students in the city in 2025 is stipulated in the 2024-2025 school year timetable issued by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
According to Ho Chi Minh City's school year plan, the Lunar New Year holiday for preschool, primary, secondary, and high school students in 2025 is expected to begin on January 25th, 2025 and end on February 2nd, 2025 (i.e., from the 26th day of the 12th lunar month to the 5th day of the 1st lunar month). With this schedule, students in Ho Chi Minh City will have a total of 9 days off for the Lunar New Year.
Meanwhile, last year students had a 14-16 day Tet holiday. Specifically, for the 2024 Lunar New Year, students will be on holiday from February 5th, 2024 (26th day of the 12th lunar month) to February 18th, 2024 (9th day of the 1st lunar month), which is 14 days.
