Students in Ho Chi Minh City will have a Lunar New Year holiday from February 5th, 2024 (the 26th day of the 12th lunar month) to February 18th, 2024 (the 9th day of the 1st lunar month).
The 2023-2024 school year plan was issued by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
The Lunar New Year holiday schedule is included in the 2023-2024 school year timetable approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for all educational levels from preschool to high school, which specifies the start date of the school year, the opening ceremony, and the Lunar New Year holiday schedule.
Ho Chi Minh City also stipulates that schools must finish the first semester before January 15, 2024, complete the second semester's educational plan before May 25, 2024, and end the school year before May 31, 2024.
