Recently, a tragic drowning incident occurred at Cooi Rửa waterfall, Vi Xây village, Măng Đen commune. The victim was a 12-year-old child residing in the area.
With the current hot weather and the approaching summer, the risk of drowning among children is increasing. The Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Health advises parents not to allow children to come into contact with water without adult supervision.
Every family needs to proactively equip children with water safety skills, especially learning to swim and recognizing dangerous situations. Parents and caregivers also need to be taught first aid for drowning so they can handle incidents promptly when they occur.
