Xiaomi has just introduced the Xiaomi 13 series of smartphones at the MWC 2023 event and not long after that, many different markets around the world , including Vietnam, announced the official selling prices for these products. Although the listing price is up to nearly 30 million VND for the Xiaomi 13 Pro (256 GB) model, domestic dealers are willing to deduct the gift money directly from the final bill if customers want to reduce costs.
Specifically, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are priced at VND 22.99 million and VND 29.99 million respectively with 256 GB of standard internal memory, White or Black color options, and the regular version has an additional Green color. The device comes with a gift of a Vaccum Cleaner G10 (listed price VND 7.99 million) and if you do not want to receive this device, the dealer will deduct VND 4 million from the buyer's bill. In addition, the seller subsidizes VND 6 million for the old-for-new exchange service. This is also a common incentive of some reputable mobile retailers in the country.
In addition to the above duo, the Xiaomi 13 series also has a 13 Lite version with a listed price of 11.49 million VND for the 8 GB RAM, 256 GB ROM configuration. This is also a "competitive" version when some dealers claim to monopolize different categories. A representative of CellphoneS said that the unit has exclusive rights to 3 colors: Black, Blue and Pink for the 256 GB version. During the pre-order period from February 28 to March 10, buyers have the option to receive an additional 1.4 million VND discount on the bill or receive Xiaomi Buds 3 headphones.
Xiaomi launched 3 models of generation 13.
At the same time, the FPT Shop system opened pre-orders for the exclusive 128 GB Xiaomi 13 Lite version for 10.69 million VND, 18-month warranty, 1 million VND discount or a free Xiaomi Buds 3 headset worth 2.69 million VND when the registrant deposits 500,000 VND. Thus, the cheapest price of Xiaomi 13 Lite will be around 9.69 million VND (after deducting the promotion) for the 128 GB version, while the 256 GB version has a reference price of 10 million VND. This is not much of a difference between the 2 capacity versions.
On March 4, FPT Shop cooperated with Xiaomi to organize an event to experience products of Xiaomi 13 Series in Ho Chi Minh City. This is also an opportunity for buyers to receive an additional discount of 1 million VND on the product value (not only the Lite version), bringing the total discount to about 7.9 million VND to 8.9 million VND (value calculated in case of pre-order).
Sharing with VTC News , a representative of CellphoneS commented that Xiaomi not only focuses on good product configuration as usual, but Xiaomi 13 series devices have invested more in cameras when cooperating with Leica, as well as paying attention to user experience operations on the new MIUI 14.
Currently, the high-end smartphone market in Vietnam accounts for about 15% in terms of quantity, but holds more than 45% in terms of total revenue. In particular, the high-end segment always has a better growth rate than the average market over the years. "This is truly a potential market, as Vietnamese people always consider phones as a product to affirm themselves rather than a simple communication device," said Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, representative of CellphoneS.
