Vingroup scholarship program is for students living and studying in high schools, colleges and universities in Vietnam.
The scholarship program is based on 3 criteria: academic performance, family circumstances, and not receiving regular funding.
The academic criteria for secondary and high school students (not considered for primary school) is that the academic results of the 2 consecutive years preceding the year of funding consideration must be at least 1 year of good academic performance and 1 year of excellent academic performance; for ethnic minority students in mountainous areas, the academic performance must be at least 2 years of good academic performance.
For students, the results of the academic year immediately preceding the year of funding consideration must be at least good academic performance. For students who have just been admitted to a university/college: the consideration is applied similarly to that for students.
Regarding family circumstances, students are in one of the following cases: orphaned by both parents, and the person directly raising them is a poor/near-poor/especially disadvantaged household, raising 2 or more dependents; orphaned by father (or mother), and the remaining person is a poor/near-poor/especially disadvantaged household raising 2 or more dependents; both parents are still alive but the parents have serious illnesses requiring expensive treatment (cancer, dialysis, heart disease, blood disease...) or are disabled, mentally ill and unable to work; the person directly raising them is a poor/near-poor/especially disadvantaged household, raising 2 or more dependents.
In addition to the above two criteria, to receive a scholarship, students must not have received regular financial support in the form of cash/savings books of large value or regular scholarships from other organizations or individuals; and students must not be exempted from all tuition fees.
The Vingroup scholarship program will sponsor monthly living expenses during the school year with a minimum sponsorship of 700,000 VND/student and will consider renewal if the conditions continue to be met.
For students, the main tuition sponsorship program is based on tuition receipts/invoices but does not exceed VND 20 million/school year and will be considered for renewal if continuing to qualify.
Up to now, Thien Tam Fund has awarded nearly 90 thousand scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies across the country.
Deadline for receiving scholarship applications is before August 15, 2025 for students; before September 15, 2025 for university students.
