Giving helmets to first graders nationwide

Implementing the plan of the National Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC) to issue a program to give helmets to first-grade students nationwide for the 2025-2026 school year, the Traffic Safety Committee of Thai Nguyen province has just sent instructions to the Traffic Safety Committees of communes and wards for implementation.

Students enthusiastically participated in the traffic safety propaganda program and received standard helmets.

Accordingly, in October 2025, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee Standing Committee and Honda Vina Moto Gia Bay Store organized a launching activity for the Helmet Giving Program for first-grade students, combined with provincial-level traffic safety training for teachers, parents, and students.

The Provincial Traffic Safety Committee requested the Traffic Safety Committees of communes and wards to direct primary schools in the area to coordinate with Honda authorized stores and dealers to organize the reception and donation of helmets to all first-grade students according to the instructions of the Department of Education and Training.

The Provincial Traffic Safety Committee also requested the Department of Education and Training to direct schools to step up traffic safety propaganda for students; encourage parents to encourage children to wear standard helmets when participating in traffic by motorbike, scooter, or electric bicycle.

Instruct primary schools across the province to organize the Program announcement ceremony and helmet donation combined with traffic safety knowledge training in October 2025; coordinate with the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee Standing Committee and Honda Vina Moto Gia Bay Store to develop a plan to implement the Helmet donation program for first graders across the province, school year 2025-2026.

The program is organized to raise awareness of compliance with the mandatory regulation of wearing helmets that meet national technical standards for children when riding motorbikes, scooters, and electric bicycles, thereby minimizing the consequences of traffic accidents for children.
