Domestic coffee prices today, October 16, 2025, in the Central Highlands region slightly decreased compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 113,000 - 113,800 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 113,800 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 800 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 113,800 VND/kg, down 700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by VND700/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND113,500/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices decreased by 700 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are at 113,000 VND/kg.

Domestic coffee prices are forecast to fall from the average of VND114,400/kg. As Vietnam enters the new harvest season, more goods will enter the market, causing domestic prices to fall. The gap between domestic and world coffee prices continues to widen due to abundant supply.
The Central Highlands is forecast to have more than average rain until October 20. Dak Lak alone may receive 70 mm of rain, which will help plants grow well. However, high yields mean increased supply, creating downward pressure on market prices.
According to data from the Vietnam Customs Department, the 2024-2025 coffee crop year (from October 2024 to September 2025) recorded a total export volume of 1.48 million tons, a slight decrease of 0.3% compared to the previous crop year. However, the export turnover increased sharply by 52.9%, reaching 8.3 billion USD, the highest in the history of the Vietnamese coffee industry.
Despite the temporary drop in domestic coffee prices, the Vietnamese coffee industry still has good prospects thanks to stable demand from Europe and the US. As the world's largest robusta exporter, Vietnam continues to hold its advantage and is expected to maintain high prices in the coming time.
World coffee prices today
In the trading session on October 15, the online price of Robusta coffee futures contract for November 2025 on the London exchange reached 4,588 USD/ton, up 2.25% (101 USD/ton) compared to the previous trading session. The futures contract for January 2026 increased 2.1% (93 USD/ton), to 4,513 USD/ton.
In contrast, on the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee futures for December 2025 delivery continued to increase sharply by 1.93% (7.7 US cents/pound) compared to the previous session, reaching 407.35 US cents/pound. The contract for March 2026 delivery increased by 1.55% (5.85 US cents/pound), reaching 383.65 US cents/pound.
The gap between Vietnamese and world coffee prices is widening as domestic supply has been steadily replenished since early October.
The international trade turmoil is changing the landscape for many other commodities, especially coffee. In August alone, Brazilian coffee exports to the US fell 46% compared to the same month last year.
In the short term, high prices clearly benefit coffee growers as they improve their revenues. However, in the medium to long term, these fluctuations cause significant losses for exporters, roasters and consumers.
Rising input prices could lead to increased production costs for processed coffee, pushing retail prices to uncontrollable levels, indicating that the world commodity market is entering a period of strong volatility where opportunities and risks go hand in hand.
