The Culture- Sports and Tourism Week celebrating the Ok Om Bok Festival 2025 will be held from October 30 to November 5.
According to Ms. Pham Thi My Hanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the week will feature many attractive activities such as: Southern culinary space; Fair for trade promotion - rural industrial products and OCOP products with a scale of 300 booths; The first Khmer traditional musical instrument performance contest; Exhibition, commemoration of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day; water puppetry; sports; Farmtrip "Survey of Ben Tre coconut market route - Con Ho - Khmer Tra Vinh cultural and tourism village". In particular, two events will be broadcast live: The opening ceremony at 8:00 p.m. on October 30 at the old Tra Vinh Provincial Cultural Center (Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Nguyet Hoa Ward) and the Ok Om Bok Festival night at 7:00 p.m. on November 5, at the Ba Om Pond National Scenic Relic Site.
The series of activities to continue to preserve, promote and maintain the national intangible cultural heritage Ok Om Bok Festival of the Khmer ethnic group in the province has been included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Creating conditions to introduce and promote the image of the land and people of Vinh Long, tourism potential, and unique cultural features of the ethnic groups in the province.
