Consumer price index in September increased by 0.12%

(CT) - According to Can Tho City Statistics, in September 2025, consumer demand and market prices were generally stable and tended to increase in some groups of goods and services such as: food, poultry, fresh seafood, eating out, electricity, housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials. The consumer price index (CPI) in September 2025 increased by 0.12% compared to the previous month and increased by 3.05% compared to the same period last year. The average CPI in the first 9 months of 2025 increased by 2.97% compared to the average in the same period in 2024.

Specifically, in September 2025, 7/11 commodity groups had price indexes increasing compared to the previous month, including: garments, hats, footwear increased by 0.06%; housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials increased by 0.51%; household equipment and appliances increased by 0.14%; medicine and medical services increased by 0.01%; transportation increased by 0.62%; education increased by 1.05%; other goods and services increased by 0.21%. There were 3/11 commodity groups with price indexes decreasing compared to the previous month, including: food and catering services decreased by 0.19%; post and telecommunications decreased by 0.11%; culture, entertainment and tourism decreased by 0.89%. The beverage and tobacco group had a stable price index.
