Being consecutively honored at the World Travel Awards 2025 - the award considered the "Oscar of the world tourism industry" - is clear proof of the prestige and special attractiveness of Ho Chi Minh City to international tourists.
Over the past time, the city has continuously improved service quality, diversified tourism products, and at the same time preserved its unique cultural identity, creating a destination that is both dynamic, creative, and imbued with tradition.
Notably, after the administrative boundary merger, Vung Tau (formerly part of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province) was honored for the first time in the category of Asia's Leading Coastal City Break Destination 2025. This opens up a great opportunity for Ho Chi Minh City to promote sea and island tourism, strengthening the image of a comprehensive destination from culture, cuisine to resorts.
In the first 9 months of this year, Ho Chi Minh City welcomed nearly 5.3 million international visitors and 32 million domestic visitors, with tourism revenue reaching more than VND162,000 billion. The city is approaching the target of 7 million international visitors and 40 million domestic visitors in 2025.
These figures show the strong attraction of Ho Chi Minh City as a tourist center of the Southeast Asian region.

We aim to make Ho Chi Minh City the leading tourist center in the Asia-Pacific region."
The four prestigious awards not only affirm the outstanding efforts of the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry but also create a stepping stone for the "Vibrant Ho Chi Minh City" brand to reach further on the global tourism map - a dynamic, friendly, integrated and vibrant destination.
