(GLO)- After 3 years of implementation, the emulation movement "Silver garden, golden day, ready to harvest for the goal of 3 no - 2 yes" of Economic - Defense Group 72 (Army Corps 15) has contributed to increasing rubber garden productivity and improving workers' lives.

Economic - Defense Group 72 is located in 5 communes: Duc Co, Ia Dok, Ia Pnôn, Ia Nan, Ia Dom. With the task of production and business associated with strengthening the national defense posture, the unit always focuses on building a solid defense area.

In 2022, the unit's grassroots union launched the emulation movement "Silver garden, golden day, ready to harvest for the goal of 3 no - 2 yes". After a short time, the movement has spread strongly to 22 department unions, becoming a typical emulation culture of the unit. In which, "3 no" are: do not abandon comrades, do not waste output, do not leave the garden empty. "2 yes" are: have income, salary; have a movement to unite 100% of union officials and members.

From the emulation slogan, the departmental unions quickly materialized it with practical actions, imbued with the spirit of mutual love and support. 22 departmental unions established “ready groups” consisting of workers who volunteered to support colleagues when they encountered difficulties, were sick or had family emergencies.

From 2023 to now, these teams have tapped on behalf of 246 workers, collecting more than 18.4 tons of rubber latex. Sharing about that spirit, Ms. Siu H'Thu, a worker of Team 12, expressed: "In 2015, I officially became a rubber latex worker of the unit. Here, I clearly feel the affection like in a big family. Whenever my family has an emergency, I inform the team and the workers in the team come to support. And when someone is in trouble, I am ready to tap instead."

As for Ms. Ro Lan H'Khoan, a worker of Team 1, who has been working in the profession for 17 years, the warm camaraderie is the motivation for her to love and be more attached to her job.

She emotionally recounted: “Last year, when I was sick, the workers in the team took turns shaving to help me, still recording the output so I could get paid. When my family had a funeral, everyone also arranged to take turns supporting. Thanks to that affection, I appreciate the collective even more and am determined to stay with the unit for a long time. Currently, my average income is about 7 million VND/month.”

According to professional military Major Nguyen Thi Yen, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Team 1, thanks to this emulation movement, the workers' awareness has been significantly raised. The situation of arbitrarily quitting shaving has almost disappeared; mining output is stable, and workers' lives are increasingly improved. More importantly, the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and sharing has become the daily thinking and working style of each worker.

Not only bringing economic efficiency, the emulation movement also contributes to maintaining security and order, consolidating the people's hearts. Economic - Defense Group 72 is currently managing more than 6,000 hectares of rubber, creating stable jobs for more than 1,600 workers, of which nearly 60% are ethnic minorities.

Professional military Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thi Sao - Political Assistant, Chairwoman of the unit's grassroots trade union, emphasized: "This is a typical emulation movement launched by the unit's grassroots trade union, aiming to concretize the emulation movement to win, to encourage, motivate and support workers and laborers to overcome difficulties.

Practice shows that the movement is not only a driving force for production but also an important solution to connect the unit with the local people. Because when people have jobs, income, and trust in the unit, it is also the foundation to firmly consolidate the national defense posture at the border.

Along with emulation movements, the unit's grassroots trade union also regularly promotes propaganda and dissemination of laws; cares for the material and spiritual lives of workers; supports disadvantaged households, gives gifts to policy families, and builds houses for workers. These practical actions, imbued with military-civilian sentiment, have contributed to consolidating trust and strengthening solidarity between the unit and people in the western border area of ​​the province.
