Awarding 111 scholarships to new students in difficult circumstances

On October 12, in Nam Dong Ha ward, Quang Tri province, Tuoi Tre newspaper coordinated with Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union to organize the "Support to School" scholarship awarding ceremony with the theme "One aspiration - Ten thousand hearts" for new students with difficult circumstances and strong will of Quang Tri province.

The organizers awarded two special scholarships worth 50 million VND each, covering four years of study.

At the event, the organizing committee awarded 111 scholarships to underprivileged and resilient new students from Quang Tri province, with a total budget of over 1.7 billion VND (excluding travel, accommodation, and gift support from the program). Each scholarship is worth 15 million VND in cash, with two special scholarships worth 50 million VND/over four years. In addition, the program also donated five laptops to particularly disadvantaged new students lacking necessary learning equipment.

Speaking at the ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre newspaper, Le The Chu, said that the "Supporting Students to School" scholarship not only provides material support but also instills confidence, opportunities, and determination. Each scholarship is a helping hand extended at the right time, ensuring that disadvantaged new university students are "not left behind" on their journey to conquer knowledge. Scholarship recipients will continue to strive, transforming difficulties into strength, and turning the kindness of others into the willpower to rise above. When they succeed, they will return to support the next generation, just as they are being supported today.

This is the fifth award ceremony in the 2025 "Supporting Students to School" scholarship program for new university students under the 612th "For a Developed Tomorrow" program of Tuoi Tre newspaper. The 2025 "Supporting Students to School" scholarship program of Tuoi Tre newspaper aims to support 1,000 disadvantaged new university students nationwide with a total budget of approximately 20 billion VND.

We donated 5 laptops to new students who are particularly disadvantaged and lack the necessary learning equipment.

Established in 2003 with 27 scholarships, the "Supporting Students to School" program has awarded scholarships to 26,357 disadvantaged new students, providing them with a total of over 245 billion VND to attend universities and colleges. Each scholarship recipient represents a story of perseverance in overcoming difficulties to reach the pinnacle of knowledge and a truly admirable display of filial piety towards their parents.
