Awarding 111 scholarships to new students in difficult circumstances

On October 12, in Nam Dong Ha ward, Quang Tri province, Tuoi Tre newspaper coordinated with Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union to organize the "Support to School" scholarship awarding ceremony with the theme "One aspiration - Ten thousand hearts" for new students with difficult circumstances and strong will of Quang Tri province.

The organizing committee awarded two special scholarships worth 50 million VND for four years.

At the program, the Organizing Committee awarded 111 scholarships to new students with difficult circumstances and strong will from Quang Tri province, with a total cost of more than 1.7 billion VND (not including travel, accommodation and gifts from the program). Each scholarship is worth 15 million VND in cash, including 2 special scholarships worth 50 million VND/for 4 years. In addition, the program also awarded 5 laptops to new students with special difficulties and lack of learning equipment.

Speaking at the ceremony, Tuoi Tre Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Le The Chu said that the "Tiep suc den truong" scholarship not only gives material support but also gives confidence, gives opportunities, and gives determination. Each scholarship is a hand extended at the right time, so that new students with difficult circumstances "are not left behind" on the journey to conquer knowledge. Students who receive scholarships will continue to try, turn difficulties into strength, turn people's kindness into determination to rise up. When they succeed, they will come back to give strength to the next generation, just like how they are given strength today.

This is the fifth awarding point in the 2025 “Support to School” Scholarship Program for new students under the 612th “For a Developing Tomorrow” Program of Tuoi Tre Newspaper. The 2025 “Support to School” Scholarship Program of Tuoi Tre Newspaper is for 1,000 new students with difficult circumstances nationwide with a total budget of about 20 billion VND.

Established in 2003, with 27 scholarships, to date, the “Support to School” program has awarded scholarships to 26,357 new students with difficulties to attend university and college with a total amount of more than 245 billion VND. Each new student participating in this scholarship is a story of perseverance to overcome difficulties to reach the pinnacle of knowledge and their admirable filial piety towards their parents.
