Awarding Dinh Thien Ly scholarships worth nearly 8.8 billion to students overcoming difficulties

On October 11, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Phu My Hung Corporation and Dinh Thien Ly Community Support Fund held the 23rd Dinh Thien Ly Scholarship Award Ceremony and awarded sponsorship for 2025, with a total value of nearly VND 8.8 billion.

This year, the program awarded 113 direct scholarships worth nearly 3.8 billion VND to students from 10 universities who are in difficult circumstances but have achieved excellent academic results. The new point of 2025 is that each scholarship is equivalent to the entire tuition fee of a school year, helping students to confidently pursue their studies without worrying about financial burden.

The program's funding comes from the support of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, Phu My Hung Asia Holdings Group, and many domestic and foreign banks, businesses and philanthropists.

In addition, 5 billion VND in indirect scholarships were transferred to social organizations such as the Vietnam Children's Fund, Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, the Poor Patients' Support Association, the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans, and local Education Promotion Associations, to support poor and disabled children and children of ethnic minorities.

After more than 20 years of operation, Dinh Thien Ly Fund and Phu My Hung Corporation have awarded more than 125,000 scholarships, totaling nearly 160 billion VND, contributing to accompanying tens of thousands of students on their journey to excel through knowledge.

Not only awarding scholarships, the Fund also implements many meaningful educational programs such as "Moving Forward with IT", E-learning competition, and "Slow Angel" project - supporting more than 1,000 disabled children in the Mekong Delta.

To date, the Dinh Thien Ly Foundation has contributed more than VND 543 billion to education, health and community activities – a testament to the philosophy left by the late Chairman Lawrence S. Ting: “Sustainable development must go hand in hand with social responsibility.”
