Construction of the anti-erosion embankment project combined with riverside landscape in Tam Ky started

According to the Director of the Tam Ky Area Construction Investment Project Management Board, Pham Duy Tich, the anti-erosion embankment project combined with the Tam Ky riverside landscape and resettlement area was built to prevent erosion on the northern bank of the Tam Ky river, protecting the lives, houses and crops of households along the river.

At the same time, ensure rescue services for people in the area; gradually complete infrastructure and urban landscape.

The project was approved by the People's Committee of Tam Ky City (old) with a total investment of 499,035 billion VND. However, in the current phase, only the river embankment and road along the embankment are being implemented with a total investment of 94.7 billion VND. The project is expected to be constructed in 240 days, from October 15, 2025 to June 11, 2026.

The project includes items such as: Tam Ky river embankment (section from new Tam Ky bridge to old Tam Ky bridge) about 971m long, reinforced concrete sheet pile wall structure, embankment top combined with walking corridor, embankment roof on the embankment body is covered with cement concrete panels, planting trees to create landscape.

The traffic project has a total length of 812m, urban road scale, 13.5m wide cross-section, asphalt concrete road surface structure. The project also has other auxiliary works such as: power supply system, lighting, drainage, trees...

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung emphasized that this is a project that people have long awaited, and that local leaders and the former Quang Nam province have paid great attention to it, including it in the medium-term public investment portfolio, promoting the progress of project approval and implementation.

Vice Chairman of the city Tran Nam Hung assigned Huong Tra ward to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committee of Tam Xuan commune to effectively implement the planning work along both banks of Tam Ky river, promoting the effectiveness of riverside embankment projects.

At the same time, landscapes will be created and ecological tourism development will be promoted along the river. Relevant units will coordinate to accelerate relocation and site clearance, creating conditions for projects to be implemented promptly and on schedule.
