Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan (third from left) inspects the design diagram of the project to improve the landscape of the North bank of the Huong River overpass.

The project to improve the landscape of the northern bank of the Huong River overpass is a part of the project to build Nguyen Hoang Street and the Huong River overpass with a total investment of about 50 billion VND and a scale of 4.8 hectares. The project stretches along Kim Long - Nguyen Phuc Nguyen Street, aiming to form a new public space, in sync with the existing landscape system. Currently, the basic design documents and feasibility study report have been completed; the master plan is being appraised by the People's Committee of Kim Long Ward, expected to be completed on December 5. The city requires all procedures to be completed in December 2025 in time to organize the selection of construction contractors from January 2026.

On the coastal road and the bridge across Thuan An estuary, the project has a total investment of 3,496 billion VND, phase 1 has arranged 2,000 billion VND from the central budget. Up to now, the construction value has reached more than 89.5%, of which the bridge section has been basically completed. On the Hai Duong section, the roadbed, drainage system and 1.5 km of asphalt have been completed, striving to complete the entire route in December 2025.

The final checkpoint is the resettlement projects: Resettlement Area 06, Vy Da Ward and Resettlement Area B5, Thuan An. These are projects that play a key role in arranging new housing for households within the clearance area of large infrastructure projects.

At the checkpoints, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan requested investors, construction units and local authorities to focus on removing "bottlenecks", especially problems with site clearance; at the same time, speed up the completion of documents and procedures. The coordination between departments, branches and localities must be smooth and consistent, minimizing overlap or prolonging processing time.

Construction units strive to speed up the progress of the coastal road project and the bridge across Thuan An estuary.

Emphasizing the urgency of the ongoing projects, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan said that these are all projects that people are interested in and expect. Therefore, progress, safety and construction quality must be given top priority. At the same time, resettlement projects need to be prioritized for rapid implementation, ensuring relocation and stabilizing people's lives, with the principle that "new housing must be better than old housing".

Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan affirmed that the city will continue to closely monitor progress, regularly inspect the site and promptly handle arising issues. The common goal is to complete the projects on time, promote efficiency, contribute to creating a new urban appearance and driving force for the city's development in the coming period.
