Lam Dong province is carrying out necessary procedures to prepare for the commencement of a key road project with a total investment of about VND4,712 billion in 2026. This route is about 12 km long, starting from the Le Duan - Truong Chinh intersection and connecting directly with the North - South expressway interchange.

Scale and technical design
The project is divided into two sections with different cross-sectional scales. The first section, from Km0 to Km1, is 37 m wide, including a 10.5 m wide road surface on each side, a 4 m median strip and a 6 m wide sidewalk on each side. Synchronous technical infrastructure such as drainage, trees and lighting systems will be fully invested.
The remaining section, from Km1 to the end of the route, will be cleared according to the complete plan with a cross-section of 79 m wide, equivalent to 12 lanes. However, in the first phase, the project will build 6 lanes for motor vehicles. The median strip is reserved to expand to 6 more lanes and build an urban light rail in the future. The sidewalk of this section is 10 m wide, also fully invested in technical infrastructure.
In addition, the project also includes the construction of two important new reinforced concrete bridges: one overpass over the existing North-South railway line and one overpass over the North-South expressway.
Progress and implementation plan
The project is classified as a Group A project, with an expected implementation period of 5 years, from 2026 to 2030. The investment preparation phase will take place in 2025 to complete the necessary legal procedures.
According to the report from the Provincial Traffic Project Management Board, the bidding process for selecting a consultant for surveying, site clearance and preparing a feasibility study report has been completed. The consulting unit is in the process of conducting the survey and is expected to complete the site clearance by December 12, 2025, and complete the feasibility study report in December 2025.
The project also requires an environmental impact assessment report. The Provincial Transport Project Management Board is currently inviting bids for this consultancy package. In parallel, a 25-hectare resettlement area is being built to serve the site clearance work.
Note: Project information and progress are subject to change subject to future approvals and adjustments.
