Oil prices continue to fall while gasoline prices increase, RON95-III has a new price of 20,460 VND

During the operating period on December 4, oil prices continued to decrease while gasoline prices increased again, RON95-III had a new price of VND20,460/liter, diesel oil decreased to VND18,380/liter.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just sent a document to key traders and distributors of gasoline and oil regarding the management of domestic retail gasoline and oil prices. Accordingly, gasoline prices will increase while oil prices will continue to decrease from 3 p.m. today (December 4).

Specifically, the ceiling price of E5RON92 gasoline is 19,822 VND/liter, an increase of 534 VND/liter, lower than RON95-III gasoline by 638 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 20,460 VND/liter, an increase of 451 VND/liter compared to the previous adjustment on November 27.

Contrary to the trend of gasoline prices, in this adjustment period, diesel price decreased by 420 VND/liter, down to 18,380 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 580 VND/liter, the new price is 18,893 VND/liter; mazut price decreased by 52 VND/liter, down to 13,436 VND/kg.

Since the beginning of the year, the price stabilization fund has remained unchanged with no deductions and no spending on petroleum products. A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise is 3,086 billion VND.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in this management period, the plan to manage gasoline prices aims to ensure that domestic gasoline price fluctuations are consistent with world gasoline price fluctuations; continue to maintain the price difference between E5RON92 biofuel and RON95 mineral gasoline at a reasonable level to encourage the use of biofuels according to the Government's policy; ensure the harmony of interests between market participants.

In the most recent adjustment on November 27, gasoline and oil prices decreased simultaneously, specifically E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 519 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 533 VND/liter; diesel oil price decreased by 1,026 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 815 VND/liter; mazut oil decreased by 251 VND/kg.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices is implemented every Thursday./.
