Cold in the North, rainy in the Central, showers in the South this afternoon

Temperatures in the North will drop further due to cold air, while the Central region will still have rain, while the South will have light showers in the afternoon.

On the morning of December 5, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting reported that on the night of December 4 and early morning of December 5, there will be rain from Quang Tri to Da Nang and the eastern part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai. Rainfall data at some measuring stations such as Cua Tung (Quang Tri) reached 42mm, Nghia Dien (Gia Lai) 77mm within 9 hours.

The meteorological agency said that on December 5, rain will continue in the area from Southern Quang Tri to Da Nang City and the eastern strip from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai with a total amount of 20-40mm, some places may exceed 70mm.

In the North, on the morning of December 5, cold air from the Northeast region affected most of the Northwest and Central Central regions. The North and North Central regions had light rain, and temperatures dropped by about 1-3 degrees Celsius compared to the morning of December 4. At sea, at Bach Long Vi station, there were strong Northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6.

According to meteorological data, on the morning of December 5, the temperature in Hanoi and Thai Nguyen was 20 degrees Celsius; the central provinces of Thanh Hoa and Nghe An were 21 degrees Celsius; while Lao Cai and Son La were 17 degrees Celsius, Cao Bang 16 degrees Celsius...

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that in the next 24-48 hours, the cold air will continue to weaken and expand its scope of impact. On land, on December 5, the cold mass will have a stronger impact on the remaining areas of the Northwest and Central Central regions.

The weather in the North continues to maintain light rain, the North Central region has scattered light rain, the temperature drops sharply at night and in the morning, making it cold, the high mountains in Lang Son, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai... are likely to drop below the cold threshold (15 degrees Celsius, some places below 12 degrees Celsius). Hanoi and the Northern Delta are cold, the lowest temperature is 16-18 degrees Celsius (down 1-3 degrees Celsius compared to December 4, depending on the area).

In the South, on December 5-12, there will be little rain, intermittent sunshine during the day, temperatures will fluctuate around 30-32 degrees Celsius, in the evening there may be light local showers but they will not last long.
