Attending the "Image of Vietnam" gala event were former Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Phan Van Mai, along with delegates and businesses from 42 countries and territories.
In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai stated that the program is a greeting and an invitation for tourists to come to Vietnam to admire its majestic and beautiful nature, to immerse themselves in its friendliness, and to explore and experience its diverse and rich culture.

"Tonight's program is also a greeting to our esteemed guests in Ho Chi Minh City - a city that cherishes traditional values and always looks towards the future, a vibrant, friendly, and inspiring destination; a city that harmoniously blends dynamic, modern life with a space full of long-standing architectural and cultural values;… a city where you can find any delicacy from around the world alongside delicious dishes from all over Vietnam," Mr. Phan Van Mai emphasized.
Southern Vietnamese pastries were served to welcome guests attending the event.
With vibrant performances and elaborately staged acts, the gala night recreated a modern, youthful Vietnam that is still rich in cultural identity and preserves its long-standing traditional values.
The 17th ITE HCMC took place from September 7-9, 2023 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) with a series of professional activities including major forums and seminars such as: the high-level tourism forum "Digital Transformation to Promote Tourism Development", the seminar on the tourism and hospitality industry - Vietnam's resort industry - opportunities and challenges… along with many tourism promotion and advertising activities organized by Chile, South Korea, and Japan.
