Attending the program were comrades: Tran Quang Phuong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Nguyen Van Hung, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and Le Ngoc Quang, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee.

This event coincides with the announcement ceremony and the awarding of the national historical monument ranking certificate for Long Dai Ferry Terminal II, where 16 young volunteers bravely sacrificed their lives (September 1972).

Long Dai ferry terminal, the most fiercely contested "fire zone" on Route 15 of the Truong Son Mountains, was once a crucial choke point determining the survival of supply convoys from the North to the battlefields in South Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

It was here, in September 1972, that 16 young volunteers from Company C130 (from Thai Binh province, now Hung Yen province) fell while on duty building roads and ensuring vital transportation routes. Their blood stained the river red, allowing supplies and troops to reach the battlefield on time.

That sacrifice transformed Long Dai Ferry Terminal II into one of the sacred landmarks, a testament to the "Fight to the death for the Fatherland" spirit of our forefathers.
The decision by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to recognize Long Dai Ferry Terminal II as a national historical relic affirms the immense value of this site and opens up opportunities for it to become a "red address" for traditional education , honoring martyrs, and developing cultural and spiritual tourism.
