Long An invests in upgrading, expanding and standardizing digital infrastructure

Long An promotes digitalization of internal processes and administrative reform, improving the quality of online public service provision in a comprehensive, personalized manner, regardless of administrative boundaries.

Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Long An province Nguyen Minh Hai said that the province is currently a locality that is doing well in building digital government.

This is clearly demonstrated through the continuous improvement in the ranking of component indexes on digital government building according to the results of the annual assessment of the national digital transformation index for provinces and cities.

The province's digital government component index ranked 11th in 2021, 9th in 2022 and reached 8th in 2023.

Long An focuses on investing in upgrading, expanding and standardizing digital infrastructure. A dedicated data transmission network is deployed to cover 100% of departments, branches and localities with speeds from 8Mbps to 64Mbps (the Data Center alone reaches 500Mbps).

The online video conferencing system meets 2-way connection from the province to the commune level with modern technology, HD image quality (supports up to 250 bridges and 10 meeting rooms at the same time), 15/15 districts have deployed 2-way online conferences to the commune level.

Regarding the construction and deployment of shared digital platforms, Long An effectively maintains the Integrated Data Sharing Platform (LGSP), officially connecting 13/16 databases and information systems between ministries, branches and localities. The number of services and transaction volume via LGSP increases rapidly every year.

Services are connected to shared systems such as: Provincial electronic information portal, Electronic one-stop system, Document management system... ensuring the need to connect and share information and data between systems to serve the work and resolve administrative procedures.

Regarding the development of internal applications and services to serve the direction and operation in the digital environment, Long An has synchronously deployed information systems and applications to serve the direction and operation of state agencies in the digital environment.

Specifically, the Document Management and Administration system is currently deployed in 100% of state agencies from provincial to communal levels, with more than 9,100 accounts, ensuring the sending and receiving of 100% of electronic documents via the National Document Interconnection Axis; 6,181 specialized digital certificates of the Government have been issued to agencies and leaders at all levels, helping the rate of electronic documents with digital signatures in the whole province reach over 99%...

Long An strives to basically complete comprehensive digital transformation by 2030, forming an effective and efficient digital government, the digital economy playing an important driving role in the province's economic growth, the digital society developing synchronously and comprehensively; modern, safe, and smoothly connected digital infrastructure...

To achieve the above goals, the province promotes the dissemination, dissemination and propaganda of policies, target orientations and guiding viewpoints of the Central Government and the province on comprehensive digital transformation.

The province strengthens communication on digital transformation in diverse and rich forms, building a modern and effective digital government to meet the requirements of bringing all management and operation activities of state agencies to the digital environment; prioritizes investment and upgrading of shared digital platforms to serve the direction, operation, and interconnection between levels and sectors.

In addition, Long An promotes digitalization of internal processes and administrative procedure reform, improving the quality of online public service provision in the direction of comprehensiveness, personalization and regardless of administrative boundaries.

The province focuses resources on building and perfecting industry, sector, and local databases according to the principles of "correct, sufficient, clean, and alive" to connect, share, provide open data, and serve data-based direction and management.

Stakeholders actively research and prioritize the application of modern technologies (BigData, AI, GIS, etc.) to support the improvement of efficiency, productivity, and quality of work of cadres, civil servants, and public employees./.
