Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo clearly defines the viewpoint: “Developing science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation is a top priority breakthrough, the main driving force for the rapid development of modern productive forces, perfecting production relations, reforming national governance methods, and developing socio-economic aspects.”
To ensure that Resolution 57 truly comes to life, all levels, sectors, localities, businesses, and people are working together to create concrete results, transforming policy decisions into material wealth, and driving the country's breakthrough development and prosperity in the new era.
Application of technology in management and administration.
In implementing Resolution 57, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is applying "Digital Front" technology, contributing to bringing the Front closer to the people, promptly listening to the people's thoughts and aspirations, and creating a solid bridge between the Party, the State, and the people.
The "Digital Front" platform application fully integrates all necessary functions: from operational management; performing daily tasks such as managing members; social monitoring and criticism... to compiling opinions and suggestions from the people and reporting them to relevant agencies; providing and supporting useful information to the people...
In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has deployed applications and information channels targeting the people on various platforms: the electronic portal of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the "For the Poor" special page; the Zalo Official Account "Vietnam Fatherland Front"... These have become important information channels, bringing the image and activities of the Fatherland Front closer to all strata of the people.
According to Deputy Auditor General Bui Quoc Dung, Resolution 57 opens up a solid legal framework for the State Audit Office to implement the State Audit Development Strategy until 2030 more strongly and decisively, as budget resources allocated to this activity are increased. In particular, the application of technology, especially artificial intelligence, in auditing is a strategic direction of the State Audit Office and also an irreversible trend worldwide .
Recently, the State Audit Office of Vietnam piloted the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in audit activities for the first time, specifically in a thematic audit on investment and application of information technology software, and IT service outsourcing activities to support digital transformation in several localities.
The results reveal a significant difference: if using traditional sample auditing methods, each auditor or audit team can only directly process a certain number of records in a given locality; whereas AI can simultaneously review all records from multiple localities, comparing and contrasting data between them. This allows for the detection of anomalies that traditional auditing methods would struggle to uncover.

Deploying automated biometric kiosks in medical examinations and treatment is a concrete step taken by the health sector of Tay Ninh province in implementing Resolution 57.
Previously, healthcare workers had to manually enter all patient information, which was both time-consuming and prone to errors. Now, people only need to present their Citizen Identity Card at the kiosk, and the system will automatically recognize their face, connect to health insurance data, and print a queue number for the examination room. As a result, patient registration is faster, more efficient, and more transparent.
Not only does the kiosk model help reduce waiting times and pressure on healthcare workers, but it also contributes to eliminating technological illiteracy among the public. Through familiarizing themselves with electronic operations from ID card scanning and facial recognition to selecting clinics, people, especially the elderly, are gradually forming the habit of accessing technology in their daily lives.
Developing strategic technologies and Make in Vietnam products.
On September 4th, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry launched the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" award for 2025. This is the sixth year the award has been held and the first year it has been organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology (after its merger).
The 2025 awards will honor outstanding digital technology products that embody Vietnamese intellectual pride and promote comprehensive, nationwide digital transformation. This will accelerate and drive the development of the digital economy, digitize economic sectors, and create a leap forward in productivity, quality, efficiency, and competitiveness; while also aiming to master core technologies, foundational technologies, and strategic technologies.
In particular, in 2025, for the first time, the award will honor outstanding strategic digital technology products listed in the Strategic Technology and Strategic Technology Product Catalog as stipulated in Decision No. 1131/QD-TTg dated June 12, 2025, of the Prime Minister.

Over the past five years, the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" award has attracted more than 1,000 entries.
The Organizing Committee awarded 252 prizes. Many of the winning products from businesses have been applied in practice.
The award-winning products have received support from the Ministry of Information and Communications (now the Ministry of Science and Technology) to participate in trade and investment promotion activities both domestically and internationally; making significant contributions to the national digital transformation, and accelerating the digital transformation process of socio-economic sectors and fields more quickly and effectively.
