This is the first time a culinary honor program has been held on a national scale, to recognize and show gratitude to individuals who have made many contributions to preserving and promoting traditional culinary values.
According to VCCA, the most important category is “Vietnamese Culinary Culture Artisan”. This title is selected at three levels: Culinary Culture Artisan, Elite Artisan and National Artisan.
In addition, the program also honored two other categories: Vietnamese Culinary Culture Ambassador, for individuals with special contributions to promoting domestic and international cuisine, and Vietnamese Culinary Culture Researcher, honoring scholars who have researched, analyzed, and disseminated culinary values.

An important highlight is that the selection process is committed by VCCA to be transparent, non-commercial and non-profit. Candidates do not have to pay any fees, and their applications will be evaluated by a professional council consisting of artisans, researchers, culinary experts and representatives of cultural agencies.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ky - Chairman of VCCA - said: "Honoring culinary culture titles not only pays tribute to those who have devoted their lives to their homeland, but also affirms the Vietnamese culinary brand, contributing to bringing our quintessence to the world ."

The program is expected to create new momentum to raise the status of the culinary profession, build a national database of culinary artisans and experts, and open up training and vocational training opportunities for the younger generation. This is also a premise for the National Culinary Awards, aiming to bring Vietnamese cuisine to the world level.
According to the plan, the first phase (from August to November 2025) will select the title of Vietnamese Culinary Culture Artisan; the second phase from November will be for Vietnamese Culinary Culture Ambassador and Researcher. The application period is from August 10 to October 30, 2025. The honoring ceremony is expected to be held in November 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City.
VCCA affirms that the annual organization of this program will contribute to bringing Vietnamese culinary arts into the ranks of respected cultural fields, while creating a ripple effect in the community and on the international stage.
