Accordingly, on September 5, 2025, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center - VEC, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh chaired a meeting on extending the duration of the Exhibition of National Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day and preparing for the closing ceremony of the Exhibition.
Attending the meeting were leaders of the Ministries of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Finance, Industry and Trade and the Government Office ; representatives of Vingroup Corporation and Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center Joint Stock Company (VEFAC).
After listening to the report of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the opinions of the delegates attending the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh concluded as follows:
Recognizing and praising the efforts of ministries, branches, localities, enterprises and related units in organizing the Exhibition of National Achievements on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of National Day. The good organization of the Exhibition in a short time with determination and high sense of responsibility, effective coordination between ministries, branches, agencies, units and enterprises has created a positive social effect and is highly appreciated by the People.

Create the most favorable conditions for people and tourists to visit the Exhibition of National Achievements on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of National Day
In order to meet the needs and aspirations of the majority of people to visit and experience the activities at the Exhibition, based on the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Prime Minister decided to extend the Exhibition until September 15, 2025 in Official Dispatch No. 155/CD-TTg dated September 2, 2025. Requesting ministries, branches, localities, agencies, units, organizations and enterprises to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement, ensuring the best service to the needs of the people during the extended period; in which, focusing on performing well the following tasks:
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in close coordination with relevant ministries, sectors, and localities, will continue to implement necessary tasks to maintain the Exhibition's activities for an extended period, focusing on the following key areas: (i) Continuing to maintain the Exhibition's activities with quality, efficiency, and safety, creating the most favorable conditions for the public and tourists to visit; (ii) Directing and urging units to have plans for shift changes, rotation, and personnel supplementation to ensure the health, morale, and quality of service, avoiding overload and fatigue that could affect the overall image of the Exhibition; (iii) Regularly maintaining art programs (an average of 2 days/session) and other cultural and interactive activities to keep the Exhibition space vibrant and attractive, serving visitors and the public.
The Ministry of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to urgently guide ministries, branches and localities on arising expenses according to the following principles: (i) Negotiate with leasing units and service providers to minimize costs of renting premises, equipment, materials, labor and other related expenses; (ii) Units shall proactively balance and prioritize the use of budget estimates assigned from the beginning of the year and other legal funding sources; (iii) Based on the summary report of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the remaining funding after the units have balanced themselves, the Ministry of Finance shall submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and support from the central budget according to regulations.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Head of the Steering Committee for the Exhibition of National Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, chaired a meeting on related issues during the extended duration of the Exhibition.
Regarding the maintenance of the stalls: (i) Participating businesses and units should demonstrate a sense of responsibility and patriotism, continuing to maintain the operation of their stalls until the closing day, considering this an honor and responsibility towards this important national event; (ii) Food stalls are encouraged to rotate and add new specialties and dishes to create diversity and uniqueness to serve the people.
The Security, Health, and Logistics Subcommittees and related functional forces focused on maintaining full operation and providing excellent service to visitors and the public until the end of the Exhibition, ensuring absolute security, safety, fire prevention, environmental hygiene, and timely handling of any arising situations; mobilizing and supplementing volunteer youth forces to support the Organizing Committee during the extended period.
Regarding the summary and reward work: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to promptly develop a Summary Report of the Exhibition, comprehensively evaluate the results, analyze the causes and draw lessons; propose rewards to the competent authority, diversify the forms of rewards and recommend increasing the number of rewards in accordance with the scale, importance and success of this important event.
