Ministry of Foreign Affairs and nearly 4,000 points nationwide participate in training on artificial intelligence applications

On the morning of September 9, the Party Central Office - Standing Agency of the Central Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation organized a National Conference to train on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) for officials at all levels of Party committees and agencies.

The conference was connected online to nearly 4,000 points at the central, provincial and communal levels nationwide. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , two points were held at No. 1 Ton That Dam and No. 2 Le Quang Dao with the participation of a large number of officials, civil servants and public employees in the Ministry.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Vo Thanh Hung, Deputy Head of the Party Central Office, said that, implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, the Party Central Office organized a training conference with the requirement of synchronization and unity from the Central to the grassroots level to ensure "the same message - the same awareness - the same standards" in applying AI to the work of Party committee and agency cadres.

According to the Deputy Head of the Party Central Office, in the context of national digital transformation entering an accelerated phase, AI is not only a tool to improve productivity but also a core capacity to modernize the Party's leadership, direction and administration methods; contributing to improving the quality of advice, shortening work processing time, building professional, transparent, effective and efficient Party committees and agencies.

The Deputy Head of the Party Central Office emphasized the three key objectives of the Conference.

Firstly , raise awareness of the role, potential and orientation of AI application in the work of Party committees and advisory bodies at all levels, from research, synthesis to implementation and supervision.

Second , help equip basic knowledge and skills so that cadres, civil servants and public employees can proficiently use some popular AI tools to serve consulting, synthesizing, analyzing documents, building plans and reporting.

Third , forming the right attitude and responsibility in using AI safely and securely, complying with Party regulations and State laws, in line with political and ideological orientation.

Accordingly, the Conference will take place over two days, September 9 and 10. Delegates will be guided by senior lecturers and main lecturers of the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, on an overview of AI, major trends and application scenarios in party work; practice with some popular AI tools; discuss topics on ethics, law, security, prevention of information misinformation risks; summarize, share experiences, and orient application deployment at each agency and unit...

The Deputy Head of the Party Central Office added that the conference was organized in a practical, easy-to-understand, easy-to-apply manner, focusing on practicing real-life situations; at the same time, the effectiveness will be surveyed and measured to serve as a basis for synthesizing and implementing the next steps.

The Deputy Head of the Party Central Office proposed a number of important principles. First, comply with regulations on information security and safety; do not put confidential documents or sensitive data of the Party and State on the AI ​​platform. Second, use AI responsibly, set goals to serve the work, regularly verify results, consider AI as a support tool and not a replacement for independent thinking, political qualities and speech discipline of cadres and party members.
