Currently, water levels on rivers in Thua Thien Hue are rising rapidly due to very heavy rainfall upstream. Students throughout the province have been given time off from school to ensure their safety.
On the morning of November 25th, the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station reported that prolonged heavy rainfall in the upstream areas has caused water levels in the province's rivers to rise rapidly.
At 5:00 AM on November 25th, the water level of the Huong River at the Kim Long station was 2.88m, 0.62m below alarm level 3, while the water level on the Bo River at Phu Oc was 3.65m, 0.65m above alarm level 2.

According to the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, the forecast for November 25th indicates that water levels on rivers in the province will continue to rise, with flood peaks on the Huong and Bo rivers potentially reaching and exceeding alarm level 3, posing a risk of widespread flooding in downstream areas.
Given the heavy rainfall in the upstream areas and the rapid rise in river levels, the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue has requested local authorities and residents to proactively implement response plans.
To ensure the safety of students and teachers, on the morning of November 25th, the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien Hue province issued a notice for all students in the province to take a day off from school.
