The glutinous rice variety 415, grown in the spring of 2024 in Hong Quang commune (Thanh Mien district), yielded 72.2 quintals/hectare.

This model applies soil preparation techniques with a depth of 20-25 cm to bury straw, harrow, level the field, and combine it with Trichoderma preparations. These preparations, combined with organic fertilizers, help improve soil structure, increase fertility, detoxify the soil, and enhance fertilizer efficiency. The planting method uses tray seedlings and machine transplanting; granular fertilizer is sprayed to ensure uniformity and save labor.

In Hong Quang commune, glutinous rice variety 415 yields approximately 72.2 quintals/hectare, 4.2 quintals/hectare higher than the conventionally grown glutinous rice variety 415. Investment costs are reduced by nearly 5 million VND/hectare, and economic efficiency increases by 8.5 million VND/hectare compared to the control variety. The production model applying advanced techniques has many outstanding advantages compared to traditional farming methods: the rice grows and develops well, tillers vigorously, has a low percentage of empty grains, and is less susceptible to pests and diseases such as leaf roller, brown planthopper, and bacterial blight.
